I can't watch the video here but saw part of it on the news. Was he actually trying to hit anyone...I don't think so from the little bit that I saw but I didn't see the part where the security guard came in.

He could have flat out killed the dumbazz hero wannabe woman with the pocket book Ninja fail and didn't...right ?

I know he was dead on with at least one shot. :dt:

The School board member tried to difuse the panic after the fact by saying the dude had blanks...but look at the floor at his second shot....not blanks. PLUS he ended up killing himself after he was injured.

But I think you're right. I think he had no intention of killing anyone, only committing "suicide by cop" if you will, or just going out with a self inflicted bang after a little venting.

That's what I thought ^^^ too.

Oh and check this out IF TRUE...he was also mad because they had fired her but come to find out....they didn't...she quit and didn't tell him the truth !! :whatwhat:

That's what a reporter said on the radio this morning...I do not know if it is true or not.

Watch the video.

It looks like he intended to hit the gut in the center of the room / bench then was suprised when the gun actually went off.

yeah, it didn't really look like he tried to kill any of them. He shot at the ground and around them.

watch his gun hand, he points it at the guy and then right before he fires it looks like he adjusts his aim to the right of the guy.

The only time it appears he goes after and truly misses someone is after he is shot and going down.

While it is a screwed up situation, the look on his face after the old bitty hit him with her purse actually made me lol.

And you'd have been in jail had you pulled it. School property. Felony to carry :td:

I wonder how that would have worked out... if someone would have stopped the situation before it escalated... think they would have dropped the charges?

I mean you'd really like to think so....but in today's society....you KNOW somebody would defend the shooter and say he had no intention of doing anything wrong...and you acted irresponsibly :skep:

No, even in Texas you would've been arrested and charged. You'd likely get a felony and never be able to carry or defend yourself again.

So, if you're a good citizen and carrying for your own protection, you can't carry on school property. Therefore, you're defenseless when some assclown walks into the school board meeting with a gun and starts shooting. So fucking stupid.

It's the way a majority of the CCW "handbook" pretty much reads.

90% of the time I'm a violator...but I'm willing to take chances so that myself and my family are protected

Yep pretty much.

I still say the shooter was NOT trying to shoot anyone...until he got capped by the security guard...he did miss then but he could have shot the board members at most any given time.

I just picked up another conceal carry weapon Tuesday night.

Oh, I know, which is one thing that really pisses me off. If a gunman wants to do some damage, all he has to do is go into a place where guns are banned and start shooting.

What's that chick, the state senator or something in TX? She's a huge gun advocate and watched her parents get killed in a restaurant while her gun was locked in the car because she wasn't legally allowed to have it in the place.

Its this lady. I have been told by cops that you can NOT be charged if you do save yourself or others in a "do not carry" zone.

I highly doubt that...

However, on that same note, as the saying goes...

I'd rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6

Never trust a pork product.

I remember when, even on motorcycle forums, CCW was a hot debate. Now it seems everyone and their 5 year old daughter is packing. I think we kinda realized all that bullshit cops fed us for years talking about, "If you get mugged don't fight back, they just want the money." was completely bullshit and decided to arm ourselves. Nice.

Yep I narrowed it down to the P3at...the Ruger and the Taurus P738. I just decided to go with the Ruger. I liked different things about all of them. My best friend has the Kel Tec and likes it alot.

I've had every pistol Kel-Tec has made and loved them all. However....you HAVE to do the "fluff and buff" or they jam.

Right now I carry the PF-9 everywhere. But I've had both of the .380's and the .32 as well as the P11 but the PF-9 gives me the most comfort. 9mm AND compact :rockwoot:

Love how the article said the police couldn't verify the "V" had anything to do with the movie. What the fuck ever. If they can't figure that shit out, they shouldn't be police. I understand not jumping to conclusions, but come on. Really?

(CNN) -- A purse used to smack a gunman at a Florida school board meeting has sold on eBay for $13,100, the auction site said Wednesday.

Proceeds from the sale will go to Salvage Santa, a charity started by Mike Jones that restores old bicycles and toys and gives them to children in the Florida Panhandle around the holidays.

Jones is the security officer who police said shot and wounded 56-year-old Clay Duke after he took over a Bay District School Board meeting earlier in December, upset that the district had fired his wife. Duke later shot and killed himself.

Before that, Duke allowed board member Ginger Littleton to leave the room, while ordering six of her colleagues to stay. But she came back, snuck up from behind Duke and swung her purse at his hand.

The move didn't work: Duke kept control of the gun. But he didn't pull the trigger, and Littleton was allowed to leave a second time.

A television reporter contacted Littleton and proposed that she put her faux crocodile leather purse up for sale on eBay. She said it was an easy decision, especially given that it would benefit Jones' charity.

"The hero of the day was Mike Jones," Littleton said. "I thought, 'Wow, what closure for everyone. This was a way to tie everything up.'"
