Speaking of that, does anyone know of any kind of free utility that will strip geotagging info out of photos?

EDIT: Nevermind, found out how to do it on an app I have on hand.

Do tell. I have it turned off but it would be useful to know how to yank em off older photos.

Do tell. I have it turned off but it would be useful to know how to yank em off older photos.I use FastStone Image Viewer:

http://www.faststone.org/FSViewerDetail.htm

Right Click Photo -> Tools -> Remove JPEG Metadata

You can also remove it with Picasa:

GEO what?Geotagging. Cameras with GPS built in (mostly just phones) embed Latitude/Longitude information into every photo you take. If you put the photos online, anyone that feels like stalking you can find out where you live, where you've been and when, and what kind of cool stuff you have to steal.

BlackberryWhat model? If it's fairly new, it might.

If you're using Windows...

Find a photo you took with the phone. Right click it, and select Properties. Scroll through the information on the Details tab and look for Latitude/Longitude information. If it's there, your phone is geotagging your photos.

It's fairly new and still be bought in stores. Curve 8530

Here's a shot from a vip room I was looking at for an upcoming bachelor party. I don't see any gps info.
