What's up with all the youtube vids of people showing their guns then going crazy showing that it's unloaded? Are people really worried about a bullet coming through their monitor?

People on the internet get extra stupid about firearms safety. Remember the handbra thread where we got two pages of complaints because victoria put her finger on the trigger? Or how anytime a gun thread comes up someone feels compelled to write a diatribe describing their personal safety rituals. Its retarded

Yea or how people always feel the need to explain hoe guns aren't necessary whenever a gun thread comes up..... assholes! Oh wait....
Seriously though, here's the FIRST question I ask myself when "safety" is a concern. Will your actions endanger me? If the answer is no for any reason (location, type of activity, etc)then I don't give a fuck what you do!

Check the valve stem/cap, my GF's valve stem was loose and was letting air out. Tightened it up and now it's perfect.:rockwoot:

Yea that's another thing about chains... some of these guys 1, over-tighten their chains or do it improperly and 2, do it way too often prematurely stretching their chain out. I haven't adjusted my chain since last year and sure it's a little loose but who cares?:idk: Another thing is, a lot of these knuckleheads, don't find the tightest part of the chain before they adjust it and end up with tight spots that evolve into stretched spots which might account for their chain breaking problems...

Even if it doesn't seem loose, put a few drops of water in it and see if they bubble out. It might just be a bad stem seal.

Guys at the track see it a lot, they wont pass guys at tech if the chains are too tight. My chains I am usualy prety good with esp withthe priller riding on the jobsites, a lot of dirt/dust and debris floating around so I clean it prety regualrly, got over 18k on the last chain/sprockets so I cant complain.

Yea, but for every idiot that over tightens their chain, there are two who don't ever tighten it. I had a buddy that said his cbr was acting like a dog last summer. I looked at plugs and air filters... got around to the back of the bike and his chain was drooping to the fucking ground. (exaggeration) He got it fixed and it went back to normal.

So a loose chain will cause your bike to lose hp?........:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol ::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol : X 1,000,000,000,000 + 4,356:lol
The only thing that will happen if you REALLY let your chain get loose is that it can come off, slide on the sprocket, slap the swing arm, stuff like that.

I do a full check once a month, before I teach MSF. Having a shaft drive eliminates a lot of that, as long as my drive parts aren't leaking anything significant it's good. I pretty much check oil, tire pressure, and my clutch cable. After that lights are all that's left.

It's totally true, you will loose the power through drivetrain losses, instead of the normal 10% power loss through the drivetrain, you might loose 10.000001%. What, you wouldn't notice that? I sure as hell would

Damn straight. That's why ammo should be illegal.
I'm just saying that these are videos the viewer is seeing way past the time that it was actually taken. If the weapon did go off and kill the person then their video would not be on youtube. LOL Unless some asshole like Trip gets a hold of it and posts it for everyone to see.

I'm kinda with you, Bro...Why prove to the viewer that you are using "good gun safety"? Why do I care how you handle your guns?:idk: Apparently unless you touch all the proper bases, you won't be taken seriously by the gun crowd. I can see why it's good practice to make sure the gun is clear, but posted a vid and making sure the world knows it's clear. Whatever.

I don't mind it. Some of the people who post videos are way more douchey about gun safety than others, but I kinda look at it as a good thing to go through for gun safety. Do I fear dying from a youtube video? Hell no. But I know there are a lot of people who don't know jack shit about guns who look at these videos, and if the only thing of value they get from these videos is to safety check a gun in their presence, good deal. I know I used youtube to get info on different guns when I started getting into them because I didn't have any gun people that I knew who would walk me through what now seems like obvious shit. I still look at gun videos when I'm trying to decide what I want.

reliability? thats very arguable considering how many variations and manufacturers there are. ive fired quite a number of them, only really liked the colt gold cup and my dad's full custom target pistol. still, id rather have the full frame smith 645. solid as fuck, dead nuts reliable and cheaper than a disease free hooker

And if you can't spend much, why even get a 45, the ammo cost sucks

Guess I'll repeat myself. I dont shoot much. I'll rephrase myself. I don't want to spend high 3 or low 4 digits on a gun. There is always going to be a gun better than the other gun.
I have an sks. It shoots straight, does not jam, does not misfire, has gone up in value. I have a sigma 9mm. It shoots, goes bang, goes straight, does not jam, makes holes in targets, cleans easily. I have a cheapo Remington .22 rifle. It goes bang, does not jam, feeds fine. I have an AR, never been shot. I have a Hipoint 9mm carbine never been shot.
Nobody "needs" to spend a lot on a gun. There is a difference between "needed" to spend a certain amount and spending a certain amount because its a "luxury."
Let me check again..........Yup. No war outside. No zombies that I can see. Justin Bieber doesnt walk by and no drive-bys.
Ya'll do not understand. I am not a gun enthusiast. I don't shoot a gun and think of every single little problem. I make my self adjust to the weapon. If I don't like it then I'll see if modifying is worth the cost or I'll sell it off. Simple as that.

You dont have to spend a lot on a 1911 that is good. That's been proven over and over. You spend your $1000 on a 1911 and I'll spend under $500 and we can both be happy. Why are you so high strung on me spending more than I want to? I like how you didnt give Corey any shit for buying a "cheap" gun.
