Yt blocked at work. What's the story?

Boy has an American flag on his bicycle and the school said he couldnt have the flag on his bike anymore. A biker gang joined him to ride to his school one morning.

OK, they said he wasn't allowed to ride his bike while waving the flag, for his safety. Why do I get the feeling it hasn't always been zip tied to the back of his bicycle. But, rather, in his hand while peddling ... and this has all been misunderstood and blown out of proportion?

If you click on some of the side videos about it.

It was his personal safety from other students.

Recently they had a bunch of mexicans being in the mexican flag for cinco de mayo and american students gave them trouble for it. So the school's made a rule. Any students complain about any flag, they have said student remove the flag.

This is plain and simple. We have every right to complain about any other countries flag in our country. If you don't like something about Old Glory they can GTFO of our country.

In junior high we had to memorize the school pledge. I disagreed with it and just took the zero.

The American Legion Riders escorted him to school, most of them flying flags (irony?). A branch of the American Legion Riders were the first members of the Patriot Guard BTW.

No flag should be an issue, we have freedom of speech. If the kid wanted to fly the nazi flag, people should shut up and just deal with it.

Kids in school don't have the same rights as everyone else. Courts have allowed all kinds of restrictions on their speech. It doesn't make the decision concerning this kid's American flag any less stupid though.

It was on his bike. Schools seem to be getting more invasive when it comes to kids and their nonschool activities.

Most likely part of an organized effort at behavior modification and control. We see this at our local school here. Everyday so much homework is sent home with my first grader that if we did it all we would not have time for anything other than school work. No martial arts, no museums, no going to the park, no exercise....just straight up busy work to get him accustomed to sitting on his ass being bored and performing monotonous tasks all day.

When we don't do all the work, which is just about everyday, the teacher tries to make him feel guilty...or like a piece of shit and lower than everyone else.

They (the school) must not know that I know that they can't fail him.

 We're members of the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History....I'd put it up against any other museum of its type. We gots us an new fangled Omni Theater (complete domed IMAX theater) a planetarium that does a Pink Floyd Laser Light show on Friday and Saturday nights, and a whole section of the museum dedicated to showing us how awesome and safe Natural Gas drilling is.

Guess who funded the reconstruction of said museum?

No, like everything else in Fort Worth its funded by Chesapeake Bay Energy, or an affiliated company. The sheer number of fracing wells around here is mindblowing....
