Hoarders.

How can I better suppress the urge to want to kill these fucking people?

I have to agree. Local hoarding story. Lady gets breast cancer moves in with the son. Her house is a disaster. She has 30+ animals. She says that the shelters would not take them so they just locked the house up and walked away. When the house gets foreclosed on only 3 cats are found alive. :no: Why did she not leave the door open and at least give them a fighting chance.

Reminds me of some of the houses I rehabbed years ago... this is not a new problem. *twitch* Each time I went through these homes after closing to take "before" pictures I wanted to run away thinking "There's no place like home..."

My dad called me the other day and asked if I had ever seen this show which I hadn't. Some guy had like 2500 rats in his house. :lol: I watched an episode and couldn't believe how bad some of them are...talk about GROSS !! :willy:

One thing I noticed about Hoarders is that they tend to get mixed up a lot. A lot of the people they have on the show dont seem to be hoarders. Just lazy fucking pigs. When people come in to clean for them they have no problem getting rid of anything. They were just too useless to do it themselves.

Watched the rat episode the other night. They had to tear apart every wall in his house to get all the damn rats. It was unbelievable. The guy had serious death issues.

I saw the rabbit/chicken one the other day with the GF. I personally hate these "reality" shows but the GF likes them.:idk: BTW is everyone on this show big, fat, lower class white people without teeth?

I too wish this shit would go away. A tv show about these folks makes them feel mainstream, accepted. And this kind of behavior is only gonna get worse because of it.

Just kidding and referring to the abortion thread. Although, I disagree that a 24 week old fetus is "just a cluster of cells", I agree that it is wrong. Sorry, I dont care how big he is. Like I said, I'm not a fan of cats, but I have seen them fight, and I have seen them cause more than one large, agressive dog turn tail and run. People dont seem to realize how fast, agile, strong and deadly cats are, as long as they still have their claws.

Thats a beautiful dog though!

I thought someone from the Canadian wilderness would know more about animals. Do mountain lions pass for house cats where you're from?

Any healthy dog on the plus side of 20 pounds can kill an average domestic cat (we'll exclude pugs and their mutant ilk, however). Cats can be vicious and they're often able to startle/scare larger predators from a fight, but they are light, weak, and fragile compared to the musculature of dogs. Felines don't start trumping canines until the size disparity disappears.

If there's one thing I've had the misfortune of witnessing way too much of in my life, it's animals killing other animals. Claws and crazy don't mean shit when it's getting the "shake."

We had a mutt, German shepherd/husky mix that routinely killed cats without any problem. I know of at least six... Just like you said, once he got them in those jaws, it was all over.

Dogs are pack animals, cats are not. One on one, a large dog vs any normal domesticated feline would come out on top. 10 on one, same shit because the cats wouldn't attack together... dog would be snappin' neck bones left and right.
