"caution stripes" opinions wanted

My stairwell has a very short ceiling due to a closet. Unfortunately, I can't simply eliminate the closet because the attic access is inside of it. Anyone over 5'7" hits their head on the stairwell, so I've decided to paint some "caution stripes" on the corners of the ceiling until I get around to changing the closet.

I've already painted orange stripes, but have not yet removed all tape. My original plan was to paint the alternating stripes black, just to offset it from the rest of the wall paint. However, after peeling tape, I'm thinking the orange may look good by itself. What do you all think?

Yeah... if anything... paint a black horizontal stripe above what you've already done...

Lol. going down the stairs usually isn't the problem, it's coming up the stairs. The stripes continue at the same size underneath. Eventually, I'll raise the floor of the closet and just put in a single step on the side to climb up inside to get to the attic. I have no clue why the closet was built the way it was.

Pick up some glow in the dark paint. Layer it on. Put the orange stripes over over it.
Orange isn't going to do you any good in a blackout

I don't worry about shit that's not, nor will ever be a problem for me, like hitting my head on the ceiling.

I have a similar problem in my house. I just cut out a chunk of "caution" tape and put it up there, and then watch when people nail their heads on it. :lol:
