does anyone remember a cartoon from the late 80s early 90's that people used to slide across canyons on ropes, the toys had long thin ropes that were 10 feet long and had clips that could clip on the end of a table and the guy on the contraption would slide down it . It was sky something, sky rider, sky commander etc...

Hell yeah - still have mine stashed somewhere too.
Blows my mind how incredibly more powerful and capable the machine I'm using right now is than my 1st one - that Ti99-4a with its whopping 2 kilo-bytes of ram (.002 megabytes, or .000002 gigabytes) & cassette-tape storage - in just one generation.
Won a regional jr. high science-fair w/ that bish & a simple little BASIC program which processed study-habit/grade statistics from a survey I made of my class. Shoulda stuck with bits & bytes instead of going to nuts & bolts for a profession - might have wound up a much better-paid dork!

I tinkered with trying to write BASIC programs from their guide, but got bored with it... especially since I didn't have any media to write the programs to and lost them every time I shut it off.

A lot of that shit you'll find to be worthless... However, I made a fucking killing on micro machines like 6-7 years ago... Probably 20 cars, a few of the little town pieces, and the battleship.. I made almost $200. Crazy.
Then again, my sisters handheld pac man game, circa 1983, in perfect condition wouldn't bring $10 w/ free shipping.

And the battery would last 10 minutes if you were lucky.
Yeah, kind of like the Air Hogs Storm Launcher of recent. I've seen vids and reviews from people who are veteran RC folks, but as a beginner, I got a bit over-zealous and crashed it hard after about 4 flights. The battery didn't last long at all, so I just tossed it, rather than trying to repair it. I've thought about getting another one, along with a second or third battery, but I'd have to make sure to temper my ego and keep it in beginner mode for a LONG time. I'm not sure I'm patient enough for that.

I had one that worked great for a long time. Then I started hitting jumps with it like they do in the commercials and the tracks started falling off. Of course the Battery Door got the Duct Tape treatment as well. Then the Scorcher came out and people started arguing over which was faster:lol:
I had like a 5000 that had a backpack. Fucker was like a water hose. Kids quit playing water wars with me. The 50 is definitely the classic cause it was the first true badass water gun.
I had this one. It worked AWESOME. It would shoot the same distance no matter how many times it was pumped. It had one problem though...It came with a big warning on it that you absolutely could not leave pressure in it without firing it. I brought it to the beach one day and forgot I had left pressure in it. A huge BANG came out of the inside of it and it never worked again...

That's because the trigger was just a pinch mechanism that pinched a piece of rubber tubing. I had the same one and it did the same thing - I took it apart, replaced the tubing, and all was well with the world.

Red one for me, by the time I was done with it, the nubs on the rear wheels were gone, one of the front wheel suspensions stayed up and both front wheel pointed in different directions. But man was that thing fun, there was another kid on my street with the car that had the other frequency so we could race them together

I wanted one of those lazer tags, but never got it.
And I remember standing in line for that super soaker 50. WOW
super soaker 50 was the best out of all of the super soakers
makes me pissed i sold all of the toys from my youth...
For real!
I remember that thing. Who had it?
I had one that worked great for a long time. Then I started hitting jumps with it like they do in the commercials and the tracks started falling off. Of course the Battery Door got the Duct Tape treatment as well. Then the Scorcher came out and people started arguing over which was faster:lol:
I had this one. It worked AWESOME. It would shoot the same distance no matter how many times it was pumped. It had one problem though...It came with a big warning on it that you absolutely could not leave pressure in it without firing it. I brought it to the beach one day and forgot I had left pressure in it. A huge BANG came out of the inside of it and it never worked again...

Isn't that the one that you could spin a 2 liter bottle on the back of it? There was another one that had a back pack.
Bigfoot was my favorite toy.
