My dog got out yesterday while I was at work. Dont know when he got out and wasnt notified until 4pm. Searched for him for 8 or so hours in the snow and went back out at midnight til 1:30am. I left both gates open just incase he found his way back. I told my boss I was gonna take the day off and do my best to find him.

My bro went to the pound this morning and said he was there. I cant pick him up till 1pm today. Going to go get him and bring him to work. They said they got him in around 9pm last evening. So who knows how long he was out and aboot and in the pound mobile. So glad that he wasnt stuck outside in 0 temp.

My stupid ass forgot to shut the door tight (and lock it) the night before. Wind blew that shit open and he just strolled out and hung out.


It's nice knowing I have a good dog that doesn't leave the yard and that I have a good mailman.

It's all good now. I added a latch to the bottom of both gates. He just gets curios like any other dog. I'm just glad he wasn't stuck in the cold. Although staying a night in a tiny cage laying on concrete probably isnt much better.

Peanut developed a cough and it was noticeable yesterday. I took him to the vet and they think he has has tracheal bronchitis. They gave him a shot of polyflex (antibiotic) and torbugesic. They gave me two pills to give him too. Primor (antibiotic) and cough dex.

The techniction told me he would most likely go to sleep and/or act like hes drunk. Man was he dazed &confused. He would just stand there looking straight. I thought his nose was dripping he was drooling. Tried to get him ato drink but he would just stand over his water. He tried his best to keep his butt up but his rear legs were givin out on him. I felt so bad cause he didnt know what was goinon.

Im home now and got him to go back to sleep. I hope he gets better fast. Luckily the rest of the week gets warmer every day. Im feeling bad my self. Got an empty upset tum tum and the diarrhea since easters.

So true...we had a local story like that just last week when Animal Control put a guys dog down. A utility worker left the gate open and the dog got out. The guy went to the local shelter looking for his dog but didn't see it and was told they didn't have it. It's his fault for not having the pup microchipped but the poor pup was in the other room with the injured ones...he had been hit by a car but wasn't hurt that bad. :no:

Just going by what the vet thinks. Kennel cough is caused by several infections/virus. Bronchitis being one.

He has the cough due cold.
