I'm thinking about the Yoshimura TRS slip on, either in stainless, or carbon fiber.
stainless is $305 and CF is $410.

any opinions one way or another? or recommendations for other exhausts?
probably going to order today or tomorrow, hopefully will get home by 4th of july... but i might put it off until mid august when i get back home for good.

planned mods/ stuff to buy, all cosmetic/ poser mods :
- flushmounts
- rear seat cowl
- cut the shovel of a fender off
- Yosh TRS exhaust
- frame sliders
- new upper fairing (current is cracked from lowside)

I had a yoshi stainless when I had my SV650... I loved the sound of it....however now that I have Carbon Fiber exhaust I like it so much more...it never gets too hot.

Carbon Fiber! My friend Zohra burned her leg on my damn stock exhaust before I switched to carbon fiber. Plus it just looks better. Damn stainless and polished aluminum get scratched too easily and it's too noticeable.

Unfortunately, there are still other places on a bike you can burn your leg on. Do they make CF engine case covers? :leaving:

I say CF... it's what I have on mine :dthumb:
Stays cool(er) and looks better with the black frame and wheels.

Full system on the V-twin won't do much. couple horse maybe. Not worth the extra $$ IMO.

Maybe I'm forgetting what type of bike Crazy has? Or are you just talking about for yourself? :idk:

For my bike it's a world of diff.

He has a SV650S... exact same bike I started out on (and comonboys is currently riding)

From everything I've seen a slip on will give you ~1-2 hp. A full system will give you ~5 when tuned with a PC.
Slip on does not need a PC
Not worth the extra $ IMO

Makes a big diff with the I4's. Not as much with the V-twins from what I've seen.

In that case... I need CF headers, CF case covers, CF frame...
Damn this 1125 gets hot in stop and go riding. :panic:

I am going to be the voice of dissent,

I like the stainless with the blue merely for cosmetic reasons...

but CF is always a great way to go and is worth it for the reasons mentioned already...

yeah to clarify I have an 05 SV650s.
full system would be about 530 SS and 640 CF... which is doable but I don't see the point really. I'm doing this mainly for the sound, the stock exhaust sounds lame. the extra couple horsepower isnt a big deal for me.
anyways I decided to put it off till mid august, since its not gonna get in by next thursday at this point anyways. so i have some time to decide.

cutty do u have any pics of your CF pipe on the bike?

 I learned after the first burn not to change into shorts before putting the bike away...so far no more burns. :dthumb:
