Aside from having too much shit to do to sit down and watch 3-6 hours of TV on a Sunday, I can't take the bullshit calls and hypocrisy anymore. The celebration penalty against Green Bay for going to the knees in the end zone and not praying while he did it was bad enough....but then to put that celebration in a commercial about how great the NFL is shortly afterward? Get the fuck out of here...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. I thought the guy praying would get a flag based on the first one. But nooooo, that might offend someone.

What about the botched facemask penalty? I'll never give up football but somethings just aint right...

No the rule specifically states you can go to your knee if you're praying, but not in celebration alone.

Botched calls happen, its all part of it. I just hate the rules and bullshit.

I like to see a guy flip the ball to the official and head to the sideline. You know, like he's been there before.

I like to see a guy get totally crazy and start humping the goal post.

I've been in pussy before too, but I still celebrate every time I get the chance.

Figures you'd like to watch guys hump inanimate objects.
I like celebrations, keeping people from getting their feelings hurt is fucking retarded. I understand the need to keep them somewhat grounded though. Terrell Owens and the sharpie/cellphone is taking it too far. Doing some funny dance or diving/taking a knee should be fine.

Other than the entire team in a Rockettes style dance, I really don't care.
However, I laugh when they point to the sky for the good plays they make. How about you point up to the sky when you screw up too?

Even though he just (likely) scored the biggest touchown in his life and theres a good chance he will never have a chance to do it again?

Yeah, or interview a guy from the losing team and hear something like this, "yeah, we could've won the game, but Jesus made me drop that pass in the end zone."

God, they suck. 4 people who can't play an instrument and basically just stand around 'singing' while surrounded by dancers and special effects.....then they had to add guest appearances by Usher and Slash because they don't have enough musical depth to take on a 15 minute show with their own music. BTW - I've seen that same Axel Rose impression performed by a drunken whore at a Karaoke bar and she sang it much better.

Special effects felt ripped off from the likes of daft punk and kylie minogue. Either of whom would have been a better act

I'm not gonna lie, I hope the NFL gets locked out next year. That way we can focus on college football, and possibly a play-off system.
Oh, and the NHL can get back some major broadcast and ESPN time that they lost in their lockout from a couple years ago. :rockwoot:

The NHL can bite my shiny metal ass. After that whole strike/lockout/cancelled season bullshit a few years back, I swore them off completely. I still love hockey, but minor league and college offers better play, a more fun environment, cheaper prices, and no whiny princess bitch players/owners.

Maybe, if there is an alternative ala hockey. Arena football is fun, but it isn't really the same game, and I don't think we have a local team.

We had the Columbus Destroyers for like 5 years. Great fun to go see live. Not so much on tv. When the league shut down for a year, the team never came back. I think there is a minor league arena football team down in Cinci.
If the NFL left for a year I wouldnt miss it. I'd just root for my Buckeyes until the New Year, and then my Blue Jackets until all forms of racing starts.
