On Tuesday, Fox News anchor Bill Hemmer asked Ron Paul to respond to the chorus of boos that greeted news the insurgent small-government Texas congressman had won the Conservative Political Action Conference's presidential straw poll for the second year in a row. There was just one problem with Hemmer's question: The vocal chorus of boos didn't come from last week's 2011 CPAC as the network claimed; rather those boos were from the 2010 conference.

I turned my TV services off 2 months ago. Best shit I've ever done. I get my news from the net, watch moview on Netflix movies and torrent motorycycle racing.

My brother! Me too, me, Hulu and Netflix have been having a 3 way for the last couple months! Fuck, cable TV! If I want to watch something, I can usually find it on the net. Heck, almost every network streams their shows from their site. If I get desperate, there's always Redbox.:lol:

Every major news organization has done this. Fox just happens to be the latest one to do it, and of course since most people hate Fox, well, they are getting the attention now.

Google is your friend, typing in MSNBC wrong footage turned up several for me including more Fox News ones. If you watch any American news channels, you deserve what you get. Hell, Dan Blather even got caught with fabricated documents.

I didn't say *doing it* makes it right. It doesn't, in any instance.

Of course, I also think that the news should also be unbiased, and none of them are. Anybody who thinks ____________ is unbiased, is wrong.

I'm *working*, so I don't have time to track down the instances right now Paul, but 10 seconds on Google will show you all you want to know.

However, since I brought that particular tidbit up, I realize the burden of proof is on me and I don't expect you to go find it. I'll track it down for you later.

I mean, if you take all your news from any single source you're a bit blind, aren't you? Fox is designed for entertainment - read = shock/awe TV. I think we all know that.

I get my news from a variety of sources. Everyone has different talking heads. I do watch Fox. I also watch MSNBC and CNN. I don't agree with everything that any of them say. I make my own decsions based on the total of the news I take in.

I'd much rather watch Glenn Beck cry, or Bill O'Reilly berate someone who won't actually take a stance on a subject, than to watch Chris Matthews talk about what a warm tingly feeling he gets in his leg from listening to the President speak. C'mon already. The President isn't a speaker, at least not a good one. If he didn't have a teleprompter, he'd be up a creek.

I did it, it was one reference to a Palin photoshop incident. The rest of em were either Fox news incidents or forums claiming they all do it while pointing back to the MSNBC Palin photoshop incident.

There was one link that backed up the claim "they all do it" by saying there were a bunch of hits on a search for MSNBC wrong footage. all the hits seem to be the same Palin photoshop incident.

I aint searching any deeper.
It's not worth my time.

I've had this name for a while now. I've listened to people butcher it, make fun of me, say I had a girl's name, you name it I've heard it. It usually comes around double as my sister's name rhymes with mine.

Sure, but in that case it was he didn't sufficiently vet the documents, not because they were manufactured by him. Pretty bad but on the scale of wrongness, there are different levels. Inventing things is about as bad as it gets.

For example I refuse to watch a certain Canadian media outlet (I refuse to refer to them as a 'news agency'), because one of there big stories a few years back was parking an unmarked van in front of various government offices and asking, "What if it had contained a BOMB?!!"

I put those faked pictures, out of the Middle East, right up there with that crap.
