Dayum,
It's funny towards the end when he throws them in the new corner they are all perched up staring him down.

be nice

believe me, that is nice for me and snakes. Normally I would think of more violent and painful ways for them to die, but there is so many of them I would a prefer a quicker solution to their erasure from this planet.

I'm with Trip. Lighting that pit on fire is the easiest way to clean it. I don't mind snakes if I see them ahead of time and avoid them, but if they surprise me then it's game on.

Tommy, you know more about snake behavior, why are they not biting him, are they just used to the interaction?

those cobras may be a bit more used to humans but the onest that are posturing withthe hoods open are saying I am here dont mess with me. Biting is alast resort and dont always release venom becasue they need it for food too. (about 15% of venemous snake bites are dry bites)
A handful of those appear to be monacled cobras which are uber nasty. A friend had an albino one, we took it out and put it on the floor to take pics and instead of trying to hide the damn thing came after us:tremble:

I would take that bet and say theyre not.
appears to be in some 3rd world country so I doubt they have the resources to do so, and any real zoo/animal sanctuary wont do that anyway. Devenomized animals are even frowned upon in the reptile trade.

just had a guy here get bit by his "pet" african gaboon. he had 16 venomous snakes in his bedroom along with 20 nonvenomous.
i love the fact they said it wasn't illegal for him to have them...............oh but he can't have them back. they gave back 20 non venomous but made him surrender the venomous ones.

When I was a kid, I had a neighbor that had a pet tarantula. I used to let it crawl around on me. I hear tarantula bites hurt like hell, but their venom isn't all that strong.

The gaboons ore one of my favorite venemous snakes, never got to own one though, theyre illegal in ny now and even getting a permit to own one is nearly impossible
