how long have you been with the TWF(ix) group?
i had to go back and check:
I joined twowheelforum back in april 2005
jeebus!!
i guess for all of you C/F'ers you can chime in with yours from that other site...
september/october of 05. I bought the SV on 10/08/05. That date is forever stuck in my head because I will never live it down. It's my wife's birthday. LOL! I started the purchase on 10/7, but they drug their feet and I didn't get the bike til 10/8. Then we spent the rest of the day gear shopping. I didn't really start riding on the road til a few weeks later. I stayed in the apartment parking lot for awhile.

I joined CF in October 2005. On my very first ride at night, I went to the bank to deposit some cash. I was nervous as hell. Some dude on a bike drove by real slow watching me and I got even more nervous. After I made the deposit and was going to leave, said dude pulled up next to me in the parking lot and invited me to bike night at Mozart's on Wednesdays. He told me I could get more info on cycleforums.com. I said, "cycle forms?" I had never even heard of a forum before. :lol:
I still don't know who that guy was, but a big chunk of my life now is due to that little conversation with that unknown dude on a blue bike. Thanks, dude. :wink:

I joined CF in 2002, I can't remember the name of the site before that one. when I joined SBN someone had taken my name from the other site so I had to add a 2 to it. then came here with everyone else. (the herd as it were I guess)

Joined SBN in '01 some time - don't remember when.
Joined CF in Oct '02 - one of the first to sign up.
Joined TWF in Nov '08 - learned about it from a few people that were already here.
10/24/07 but I lurked twf for quite a while before I joined

Then Rob and Fred had the fallout....Rob asked me to help Admin CF. So he bought the software, and domain....and started loading it up. Gave me the URL to join.... so I was member #3 on CF (somebody found the url and joined just after Rob set it up.....still have no idea who it was) and stayed admin there for a while.....till it just got too big. So I stepped back to mod, then eventually asked to be taken off the team altogether.
Came to TWF after a few PM's from people saying that's where everyone landed after the CF fallout.
I miss a lot of the OG SBN folks....Debs, Ian, Steve....Blake and that spinner of his (Jen) :lol: Nycool, Tony...etc

Thats what I thought, tired getting it out of the guys at one of the rallys but they wouldnt say. Even after bribing zeos with beer it didnt work :lol:

I broke out the big guns on chris with the beer, I figured he would fold like a cheap roof, but no dice

I had to log on to SBN to find out when I joined but the date is wrong and it has me as a rookie so I'm not sure...I'm pretty sure I joined in 2000 though.
One of the original first 50 members of Cycleforums, joined on Oct 2002 and migrated here when CF sold.

Cf has me uber banned, won't let me log in :(. Been that way since dragon paco and I spent an entire night talking about railing stewies mom.

Lurked on SBN for a while with a few posts before that turned in to a drama. Went to CF in Oct 02 when it first started. I never had a problem with Rez selling out to VS. With the problems that got forced on them I'm sure I would have done the same. CF pretty much dried up immediately afterward and I found this place in Oct 08. I figure I'll be here until Trip decides he doesn't want to, or it isn't worth it to, put up with this shit anymore and I'll see you all at the new place.

Well, I came here with the herd from CF in Nov 08.
I don't remember when I joined CF, must have been around 2001 or 2002 or so before I found it.
Can't remember the site I was on before that, if Scot would chime in, he was there, I joined that one in 99 I think, I know it was when I had my V65 Magna.
ETA: I rembembered! It was the Cycle World forum I was on first until it tanked. Took a little while to find CF between.

Started on the yahoo yzf600r group around 2000. Joined sportbikes.ws around that time. Went to SBN sometime after that, around 2001-ish. Bike got jacked, stopped posting for a while. Moved on to CF a couple months after the SBN debacle and taking general time off from forum-y stuff. Joined twtex.com and ducati.ms about the same time I moved to Austin and got a Ducati ST2. Got a divorce, went mental, quit internetting for a while. Ducati imploded. Got back on CF. CF imploded. Some how ended up here.

Joined here 11-6-08 during the mass exodus from CF. I joined CF sometime in late 2006 when Dutch and I started dating. I didn't ride until he and I got together (was actually terrified of riding due to bad experiences when I was young), so I was a late bloomer. :-) Dutch was on SBN a LONG time ago...
Granted, I don't post much but I still know quite a few peeps on here personally and I mostly lurk...
