It seemed like there were a bunch of hooking, holding, and delay of game penalties that went uncalled on the Caps while every little thing was called on the Bolts, but the refs did allow a somewhat controversial goal by the Lightning so my bias could be at play. I'm in the pissed off section here. I was out fishing in Ontario Canada during games 1 & 2 but seems like a lot of both bullshit and missed calls as far as the Flyers were concerned. Due to heavy rain ( game 3 )and packing (game 4) I did get to see two games with one sided officiating.

Game 3, the "non allowed" goal which would have put the Flyers in better position. Seemed that a certain Bruin player kicked the right skate of the Flyer which sent him into the net a fraction of second before the puck.

Game 4 went to shit after it seemed the officials turned a blind eye to the bruins literally body slamming a Flyer into the ice without a call.

There, I complained / ranted and wrote my piece.

I must congratulate the Bruins as they did have "more fire" for the Cup then the Flyers :cheers:

The Bruins haven't made the finals since 90 and haven't won the Cup since the early 70s. The Lightning, including some of their current best players, were hoisting the Cup in 04. I think it will be a good series and while I don't hate the Bruins or anything I believe the Bolts will win the series.

All it takes is for a goalie to get hot in the playoffs and his team can run with him all the way to the Cup. It happened with the Lightning in 04 with Nikolai Khabibulin. Roloson has been on fire since the first round and as long as his confidence isn't gone after giving up 6 in 2 periods the Bolts will be pretty tough. I think it is a good sign that the team kept fighting for it even while well behind. They could have easily said "Its not our night", taken it easy, and looked at the next game in Tampa. Instead they got right back in it and had chances to tie the game up. Anyway, it should be good.

And Tampa remembered how to play. Two of those goals came off horrendous clearing attempts by Tampa. Yeah, when you "clear" the puck straight to a Bruin all alone in front of the net bad things will happen. I have to admit I thought it was over, but the Bolts were more scrappy than I gave them credit for. Now I'm wondering who will be in net on Monday though. Roloson doesn't deserve the blame for the terrible defense but Smith played more than well enough that I could see the team deciding he should get the start.

I knew from the start Montreal would be there biggest problem, as they have been for 90 years.

But I agree, theyve been getting better over the last couple of years. To this day I cant believe Ottawa traded (ie. GAVE AWAY) Chara to them. And Thomas has been one of the biggest suprises ever over the last two years.

No worries. I don't know if I could support a team with him on it either. I disliked him when he was with the Falcons, thought he was largely overrated anyway, and the dog thing really put it over the top for me. I know it is irrational to some degree and I know it at least appears like he is trying to be a better person but I love dogs so fuck him.

If you are interested the Buccaneers bandwagon is starting to show signs of life again. Don't feel bad about it being only a temporary thing until the Eagles are Vickless either. Most Bucs fans bail as soon as they start to lose anyway.:lol:
