Some one recommend me a good air rifle. I am FUCKING tired of these damn birds eating all my dogs food and shitting in his water. The city won't do a damn thing about it because the hippies will cry. They won a battle over the prairie dogs and they are now a FUCKING infestation. All they do is fuck underground.
We have TONS of dove here. There's no where to hunt them since every FUCKING square inch of land is plowed. So they just stay in the city. There's too many dove and grackles. God dammit I fucking hate those grackles.

He'll catch one ever so often but I don't blame if for not chasing them away every time they come. I'd get tired of that shit too.

Just buy bird food for the birds, then they won't eat the dog food.
Problem solved.
That will be 50 bucks. I take paypal.
They make any kind of device that makes a high pitch sound only birds can hear that keeps them away? Or did I make that up? Maybe its for bugs...

Install a bird bath and a bird feeder. Fill bird feeder with rice. Hide dog food. Install camera and laugh at tapes.

A high powered Paintball gun works good too. but the only problem with that is it could leave a trail for the hippies to follow right back your markers.
Possible legal ramifications????
Other than that I would go with the pellet gun or BB gun. And when you or the dog kill them leave them around the yard for a little bit. Birds don't come back to where there was previous bird carnage. When I was a kid I had one of my newspaper customers that loved birds, but he fed the stray cats of the neighborhood too. Every now and then though some cats would go a little feral and brutally destroy about four or five birds in one day and leave the remains around the yard. The birds would be gone for days.
Just make sure that when you do shoot them you keep the barrel of the weapon inside the door or window. The hippies will sure try to crucify you for the "senseless killing of harmless creatures of God" if they see a barrel sticking right out the window or door. Think along the same lines as a sniper would.

this was my thought exactly.
don't get caught though as it will be considered cruelty to animals most likely.
air horn in a can from boat shop,
netting over the feeding area of your dog. birds know it's there and avoid the area.
plastic owl placed strategically
BTW air guns are considered firearms in most municipalities. again refer to above, don't get caught.

Just be thankful Canadians shoot em in the spring, or you'd have a lot more right now. :didntdo:
They are actually pretty damn tasty in a smoker.

seems a lot of em stay down here now. Life is good in suburbia for them, plenty of food and space and no real predators, plus you cant realy hunt them anywhere remotley residential.

Step one... buy bug zapper.
Step two... remove protective cage.
Step three... rub peanut butter and bird seed onto the sides.
Step four... hang, plug in, and get a beer.
Step five... enjoy.

That's the PROBLEM that started all this shit. There was an old lady and man that lived next door and they feed those fuckers. Once they find a food source there is no reason for them to leave. They would be literally every where. In the yards, on the roofs, up Trip's butthole and they're fucking in the trees. I'm afraid to touch paper because birds fuck in trees.

Not trying to sound rude but my dog can live outside. I'm not a big believer on having pets live inside 24/7. Those dogs tend the be the ones that annoy me with their yapping and being spoiled.

I live in the city limits. If I didn't the thread would read, "Where'd all the birds go? O, I know." :lol

I use a RWS Model 48 great gun 1120 feet per second and stops anything including wild turkeys (they are tasty). Frankly for Pigeons a sub $100 spring piston gun (mid range Gammo or Crossman) will do the job just fine. Avoid inexpensive CO2 guns because point of impact tends to change as the cartridge looses volume and Multi Pump Guns change point of impact based on how many times it is pumped. Spring Piston guns offer consistent accuracy. Doves and small varmints are easily dispatched with decent shot placement.

I was about to say that it can't be too powerful since I'm surrounded by houses. Co2 is cool for the first few shots then meh after that.
I have plenty of guns, but I'd end up with these metal rings around my wrist if I use them.

It shoots a .357 caliber round. LOL Its a PCP (precharged pneumatic). You use a compressor to fill the tank up.

They are nice. Gamo makes some higher end air guns with synthetics and expensive scopes, but they also carry much higher prices.
I bought this model a few years ago and paid about $149 for it on sale. It will do the job on squirrels, birds and varmits very well and very quietly

True. If you buy the lower end stuff from Gamo, prepare to be unimpressed. The higher end stuff is pretty good.
