Yep, Jon owns Bill...again. What amazes me, however, is that some sort of mutual respect has actually developed between them, and Bill is actually getting more gracious at receiving an ass pounding with frightening regularity in his exchanges with Jon.
They like each other. Sure, some of us may not like one or both of them as far as TV goes, but I am sure they are a lot different personas off camera. They get paid well to spout nonsense, I would do the same for the kind of cash flow they rake in.

They should do a show together.

I think the funniest part for me is that the crew (which is Bill's Fox crew, BTW) is positively on the fucking floor when Jon trounces Bill, you can hear them falling out.
They might be some of Jon's people, but it sure seems like the whole crew is laughing quite often. I think it's maybe even getting harder and harder for Bill to keep a straight face, to be honest.

I had a response typed up and when I submitted it, the tab froze and it was gone...
I said, apparently your version of ownage is different than mine and then stated, verbatim, your above quote.

I actually told my wife earlier today when we watched this that I thought Bill O'Reilly and Jon Stewart are actually pretty good friends....and I think Bill shouts a lot of bullshit he doesn't believe. You know, like [censored for off topic forum].

Fox News has a certain crowd, he gets paid well to say that shit all the time. I would be as liberal or as conservative as anyone wanted me to be if they pay me well. Wouldn't you? In the end, it doesn't really make a damn difference what he says.

No, I wouldn't do it. But then again money isn't God to me and I have a heart....goddamnit.

I see it as no different than acting on a TV show. News has become entertainment in this country.

I agree on the O'Reilly point. Its pretty funny to see him try to distance himself from some of the real nutjobs on Fox News.

It would be no different if people took it that way, if they realized it was just entertainment. But they don't, they believe it to be an accurate accounting of what is going on in the world and make their decisions and place their votes accordingly. That has a negative impact on society certainly, but what really fucks us is the inability to get real news without all the bullshit.

News was real news 30+ years ago.
But nowadays all people want is hot chicks in their 20's, who were hired only for their looks.
