I love how he didn't even take the time to research what our uniforms looked like... ugh.. army badges, Navy badges, AF badges... ribbons from every branch... some from vietnam... one from the Korean conflict LMAO...

surprised he didn't just go for Chief stripes (E-9)... why a lowly MSgt (E-7) I guess Chief would be too unbelievable.

What's awesome is that he's bloused his pants into TAN boots... Special Forces does that... but only BLACK...

EDIT:

wait... he has a berret.... with a Chief insignia on it... LMAO

What a fucking idiot. Clothes are too big for his skinny ass.....More ribbons than anyone has ever earned.......No one would ever wear them that high even if they did have that many. And are those command pilot wings? Yeah good luck with doing that as an NCO.

It would be a shame if the guy was actually certifiable and got beat up. People like that don't deserve the abuse, they need help.

We called fools like that in the Army PX Rangers. They purchased all those ribbons and just went hog wild. They normally got their asses handed to them by the Drill Sargeant.
I hope to God this is a hoax as he even has multiple awards on ribbons that aren't suppose to have multiplier devices. He has three Army devices the Airborn Jumpmaster wings(with star) the Airassault wings (Helo repeller) and a Combat Expert Infantry Badge (EIB) {the device with the infantry blue bar with rifle}
Not to mention the horrible tailoring job that has been done on the jacket(or lack there of). The cuff of the sleeve shouldn't pass the boney protrusion on the bottom of the wrist. And the ONLY boots that can be worn with the dress uniform are a pair of BLACK jump boots buffed to a MIRROR shine. All this can be found (for the Army which the Air Force uses nearly the same codes) in AR 670-1.

I think the aviation badge is a Master Enlisted Aircrew set of wings. Security Forces (not any special forces that I know of Ebbs) like to blouse blues into black boots. There are those who have racks that high, but as they start to go under the lapel, it drops from 3 wide to 2 wide to keep them from being hidden under said lapel.

Ebbs, wonder how the Security Forces are gonna handle it when black boots are no longer authorized after November? My guess is they will stop wearing blues...

Last I heard, from a Tac P. TSgt who was in my MTL class, Sec Forces doesn't blouse their blues anymore because the Spec Ops threw a fit. dunno... but do Know he bloused his boots all the way until he got his rope and had to take off his beret.

as for the boots in November... haven't heard that they'd be unauthorized. AFAIK, it's only the BDU's...

Maybe I did see STS guys that would do that but I cant remember, but I know the SF here at Moody haven't gotten any memo about the no black boots with blues.

Supposedly the black boots will no longer be authorized after november, I know all the flyers are getting pissy bc they will have to wear the sage green boots, and the only ones authorized for flight are Belleville...

Oh yeah, currently black cowboy boots are authorized with the AF blue uniform... damn texas generals...

now they may not be authorized in flight suits... but this is the first I've heard about in blues...

I know they authorized black boots on the flight line due to the fuel issue staining the boots... oh well... doesn't affect me...

If you're serious, do you have a reference for that? Last time I read through 36-2903, footwear in blues had to have laces and there are no laces on my cowboy boots.

Dont have a reference because I have never had the need for it. I've seen it several times, the last time as recently as about a month ago. I'll ask the guy where its written if I get a chance and think about it...

yeah well, I caught a female last Monday who works at 2nd AF HQ (2nd AF is over all Tech Training) who had her blues altered to end about mid calf, and was wearing designer boots with about a 3" heal... WTF!? that is most certainly out of regs for 1, and for 2, how the fuck does it take a SSgt to address it when she's surrounded by Chiefs, Col's and a two star?!

what's funny is they're the ones that write our governing regulation 36-2216:rofl:

When I was a cadet, we were told there were only 2 shoes you could wear with blues..... corfams or real leathers. Most people wore corfams because they were easier to keep shiny. Both were issued by the AF, I don't remember being able to buy them from a civilian store.

If it is really true that people are wearing cowboy boots or wingtips, that's bullshit. But seeing as how weight & hair standards are regularly ignored, I guess it's not surprising.

OK, I just looked at 36-2903 again, and found this on Page 51 under "Dress Boots (Black)":

With rounded plain or rounded capped toe; zipper or elastic
inserts optional; no design; sole will not exceed 1/2 inch in
thickness and shoe heels will not exceed 1 inch in height
(measured from the inside front of the heel). High gloss or
patent finish optional.

Other than that, the AFI lists only low-quarters and combat boots as being authorized. I suppose if you found some all-black, non-pointed toe, low-heeled cowboy boots, you could make that happen. Definitely a gray area, though, and one that will hopefully be addressed if they ever finish the rewrite of that AFI.

I don't really see much of that stuff because I haven't worn blues or seen anyone in them in something like a year now. I do get to put them on this week, though.

Yeah you can by the corframs a lot of places... tux shops use them too... corframs aren't issued by the AF. you must purchase them. they only issue the leathers... unless you have special needs, like Honor Guard, or you're fucking the supply chick

Army has been giving out corframs since at least '97, and they have been re-writing the uniform regs like crazy lately. Hell they just gave us back the soft cap

Common sense!

I read a story the other day that the marines filed a lawsuit against teh Army because they started field testing MARPAT designed uniforms. WTF?!?! The marines own the patent on the MARPAT design. this is just stupid because if the design works then why not keep people in an effective designed uniform.

The ACU in my professional opinion is an utter failure. The physical design is mostly good, however the materials used are inferior, and the colors and pattern just plain old suck balls. They fixed a lot of the problems when they started using the multicam pattern, but the materials are still inferior and fall apart under moderate use.

I couldnt find the lawsuit story, but here is one of the earlier ones discussing the fight over the design
