Because people were probably talking enough shit to him that he felt bad

Because he underestimated the complete lack of respect you tend to encounter on the Internet.

Because some people just use it to host videos, not engage with strangers.

No he had comments which turned pretty negative at one point, then turned them off.

I doubt you could even find ten grand worth of mods for a KLR.

Maybe if you hung the plastics on a hypermotard
I bet if you bought everything direct from Touratech you could easily find 10k. Touratech is proud of their shit.

No I'm with AMJ, my KLR came with almost everything possible done to it with bolt on stuff and its nowhere near 5k, let alone 10k

You underestimate touratech, they are Apple for motorcycles.

This is true (I was a touratech dealer for a while, when they first came to the states), but...they only make footpegs and pannier racks specifically for the KLR, (about 450.00 for both).
This guy is a douche.
The "Special Forces" KLR? What, the SEALS are going to jump them out of planes, and wheelie over terrorists?
I'll bet dollars to doughnuts that bike has never seen dirt up close. "Vintage WWII leather" cock holster for his fucking i-pad? Get the fuck outta here.
Even with an Ohlins shock (about 900.00) 10k is a stretch.

Yeah if you restrict it to specific parts, but I am sure you could rack up generic shit from them though.

I can't see the vid, but I highly doubt anyone owning a KLR would even spend what they paid for the bike in accessories. Hell most of them try to get those cheap ass ammo cans mounted as panniers.

I know a lot of KLR guys, and they're almost always cheap motherfuckers.

I'm not cheap by choice, I'm just poor and that necessitates me being cheap to afford what I want.
But really the big $$$ items dont hit $4k all together.
hard bags $300
hard trunk $200
rack for hard bags $300
big gas tank (or nerf bars) $300
255w stator $250
seat $250
gps w/ touratech mount $1000
rear shock $400
exhaust $300
engine guard $50
skid plate $75
windshield $100
add in another $500 for other shit that is under $50 and you are just at $4000

He talks about the Ipad he mounted on his tank and keeps revving the engine like the tach is on the Ipad.
Why do people post up videos on the net that makes for embarassment?

That is more a style thing, than being cheap. "Look at me, I'm rugged & functional"
