FYI I did get a 200 series rear tire and spoon it on. My initial reaction was mixed but Once I made minor suspension adjustments,I'm very happy with it. It turns in a little slower but it's VERY stable in the corners and confidence inspiring. It may be my imagination but I feel as if I have more traction at intermediate lean angles than before. I like it so much in fact, that a guy on a local board, was selling sets of Pirelli Diablos 120 frt/200 r for $150 and I bought all three sets!

Upped the preload about 1/4-3/8 and increased the rebound a couple clicks. I considered slipping another spacer under the shock mount but decided to give this some time. I think I mostly had to get used to it. Oh and I put my tire at 42 psi like I told those assholes to do at the dealership! Where was it for a week? 36 psi!!! Man I was pissed at them and myself for not checking that first!!!

I even threw in a couple of the new "Hooptie" 2000 Pontiac Bonneville SLE. I got it for $1200,it needed new brakes, wheel bearings, inner tie rods, both passenger side window regulators, and a fuel pump which I just changed. Other than that it runs and rides good now! Man down south there's TONS of older cars in great shape body wise anyway.

Thanks! BTW the car's NADA value is between $5500 and about $8000! I've spent about $3000 including car, repairs, stereo and rims/tires.

Really? Wow,you are a VERY sharp eyed individual my friend! Anyone else see a difference that makes my bike look "not right?"...

There is approximately a 5 mm difference in width here or about a 1/4 of an inch...

Oh and to add to my tire confusion...from road surface edge to edge my rear tire is 24 cm or 240 mm and my front is 17 cm or 170 mm. Quick someone measure a 190 tire and let's see the difference! BTW it probably should be a Pirelli Diablo to get a fair measurement. Oh and this is full of air...

Don't have a 190... or a metric tape measure

my 180 measures up at 9.125" = 23.2cm = 231.7mm

(yes, i rounded up)

Perfect! That means a 180 is approx 10mm narrower than a 200 which should mean that a 200 is approx 5 mm wider than 190. 5mm = about 1/4 of an inch. Of course THAT means that anyone saying my bike looks stupid because of the "wider" tire is full of shit and being a:aide: How you gonna see 1/4 tire difference in a photo?

i will say the 180-190 was a differenece on my bike, i could tell it was smaller but then again i can tell when i have a new bug on my bike...

Thanks...I think...It certainly "feels" different but I don't think it really looks different. By my "calculations" it's 1/4 wider and 1/4 taller. Not really that much or a TON of difference depending on your POV,I guess.

:iagree: I guy I ride with uses Shinkos and his 200 tire looks wider than mine by far. What I really want to know is where the WSB racers got 200s. They don't make the Rossos in a 200. Anyway,I better like the 200 'cause I got 2 more to get thru before I buy something else. After yesterday's MotoGp, I'm really wanting to look at Bridgestone....:leaving:

I think you need to read my post # 11 and my post # 13 AGAIN !!

In post # 11... I said your bike looks sharp...right ?

In post # 13... I posted a picture of an R1 with a 300mm rear tire and said to each their own but that just doesn't look right...THE R1 doesn't look right...NOT your bike !!!

See...you look for drama even when there isn't any.

Oh no you don't.... You should reread your post #13,there isn't any pic of a bike with a 300 on/in it. I'm not the only one who thinks you said my bike doesn't look right with the 200. I admit that post #11 said "sharp bike" which made it even more perplexing that you made the comment in post #13. I don't care what you think about my bike good or bad. I just thought it was odd that you would comment on a 5mm difference. If I am mistaken,I sincerely apologize and hope that we can have a better understanding of each other in the future. Have a safe and pleasant riding season! Lon

I read it as saying that the 300mm tire that he had pictured in Post #13 didn't look right.
