wOOt!!!...MotoGP racing in the good 'ol USA :rockwoot: Lots of good stuff to talk about, like the fact that the last two GP races have been close, and a blast to watch...Also...

--AMA rider Ben Bostrom will be riding with Elias on the Honda 212V
--Burgess will re-join Rossi after being gone for two races
--Pedrosa appears to be healthy enough to make every race interesting at the front
--Lorenzo has out raced Stoner for two straight races
--Spies has passed Simoncelli on the last corner of the last lap for two straight races
--Hayden is going backwards
--Dovizioso is still as consistent as anyone on the grid

I've lost any respect I ever had for stoner or Lorenzo with the refusal to ride at motegi. Go anyone else.

Why is that, because of the earthquake?

I haven't seen anything about that. What's his reasoning? Still scarred from teh battle with Rossi last year? :lol

Motegi is 100km (roughly 62 miles) from the site of the biggest nuclear disaster since Chernobyl. The food is contaminated...the water is contaminated....hell, more shit vents out of the plant while they are there and the air could be contaminated too.

I wouldn't go either....not for money....not for anything.

Well that makes sense. Losing respect for someone refusing to go, not so much.

I wasn't aware of the proximity.

Fecking HELL!!!

Lorenzo just moon shotted himself on the cool down lap of FP3...at turn 5...he looks hurt.

Truly wicked high side...and a wicked nasty looking splat onto the pavement...and then hit by his bike in the dirt. Not good.

Late Edit:

Apparently he's battered and bruised but otherwise "fit" to continue.....we'll se in an hour or so when Qualifying Practice begins.

Mine too and i had to tell him not to send me race updates

Spies really needs to learn to start a race. Aggravating to watch how poorly he gets off the line.

Spies had a hand injury done during qualifying....

Stoner is well.....fucking fast. But the dude weighs like a buck.

Stoner's margin of victory: 5.6 seconds. He made a late race pass on Lorenzo for the lead and dropped the Spaniard like a red hot frying pan.

Sic, Crutchlow and Bautista crashed out. Ben Bostrom pulled in after riding through the gravel.

Spies made the last pass in the race, passing Dovi for fourth.

Lorenzo had issues getting off the bike in victory circle.

Update:

Stoner said that he felt he had the pace to be close to the front yesterday, then found something in warm up that helped him go faster. He had to wait for the fuel load to go down for it to work. He saw Pedrosa struggle, passed him. Saw Lorenzo, knew he could go faster, passed and was gone.

Pedrosa said that he was amazed at the pace up front but and struggled bevause his "strength was lacking" as the race went on. He is happy with third place.

Lorenzo said he too was amazed to land on the podium after his crash as he is very sore. "I thought the podium was impossible".

Rossi came over to the Hayden side of the Ducati garage after the race and congratulated the American on a good race--Rossi finished in front of Hayden. When Hayden turned to the cameras, the look on his face suggested he was not overjoyed with the finishing order.

Well, at least Stoner's pass on Lorenzo was exciting! Nothing like '08, but at least it woke me up at the end of the race.

Since I work all day Saturday and Sunday, I just now finished watching the whole race ...

I gotta say, great race by Stoner...Stalking Zo and Pedro, overtaking a tired Dani, then passing Jorge on the outside to take the lead was nothing short of impressive...Simply awesome :)

The weather was awesome...it was my first time out there. The elevation change is crazy - tv doesn't do it any justice, just ask Curb about the climb up to the corkscrew. :lmao:
