First I I have no issue with the sale of Marijuana. I find this concept of this show every bit as repugnant as the as shows like Hoarders , Intervention and Big Medicine. Where Mental Health / Health issues are used voyeuristic as entertainment.
So it is sad comment on who we are as a culture when we use others pain for our entertainment.

I wouldn't be surprised if the store gets raided and shut down due to the publicity it's getting with a TV show.

Agreed, profiting off people's issues is fucked up.

If they are going to go at it from the joke angle of everyone getting prescriptions because they want to smoke pot that hollywood spreads and don't actually have an issue that needs it, they are just hurting the cause of medical.

I sincerely hope that's not their angle, and that they don't focus on someone who's disingenuous. That would trivialize a lot of suffering people's pain. I really hope that's not what they're doing with this, that would be very sad indeed.

It would fuck the whole medical cause really hard too and give dumb politicians something to point at when they want to show how it's being used.

They're idiots for agreeing to this. There is 100% chance they get raided by the DEA. Stupid.

Edit: Although, if they show gets popular and then they get raided I suppose it could be good for the pro-marijuana movement. I think a lot of people don't realize that the Govt is raiding state approved businesses..

That guy Steve DeAngelo is very outspoken as it is, they screw with him a daily basis, I'm pretty sure the DEA is well aware of everything going on there and probably wouldn't want to look like even bigger dicks on national television.

Ahhhh, yes, yes he is. I've heard him on the NORML podcast before.

If I had to bet money I'd bet on him being raided and imprisoned.
