Yeah, damn shame about that.
Another example of what happens when a person either doesn't get the help that's out there, or can't stick with the program. :idk:

I don't understand why it's a shame. Talent? Sure. But, she was a wreck. Crack whores die every day... this one was not a shock.

I've been listening once, and then throwing them out the window. Thanks for the tip.

Relax.

It's all about what touches people's lives directly.

Like it or not, music has that power to reach many people, and touch their lives directly, all over the world.

Other than smell, which is one of the 5 basic human senses, only music can instantly transport you to a time and place in your mind.

Music can bring together people from diverse lands and cultures. It connects people.

Music is very powerful. Short of being a politician, it's hard to ever touch the lives of quite as many people.

It may not seem like it to the outsider, but music & fame are not only remarkably powerful, but they're a huge weight, a responsibility, and a burden on the soul...especially to the sensitive [read: most artists].

It flat kills many.

Fame has hurt my family. Fame is actually one of the few things I'm truly afraid of in this life.

Fame is not a nice thing for most who experience it, and yet celebrity seems to be something that so many seek...

Scary. Sad.

It is sad , but I know of at leas 4 other women that died a drug related death within a few hours of Ms. Winehouse. They will not make the news or be discussed or be discussed out side of their families or Parole / Probation offices.
With no disrespect to Ms. Winehouse she was no better than any of them.

She was worse than them because she glamorized that lifestyle, and had a negative influence on the world. She got what she deserved, haha too bad, don't want to go to rehab, no she do nt have to anymore

What part of, "Sex, Drugs and Rock & Roll", do you not understand?

I doubt there's any "scientific" way to prove her influence was more negative than positive. There's not much glamor in OD'ing on your living room floor, and nobody with any sense, will aspire to end up the way she did. If anything, she's a poster child for how not to do it.

Bullshit. This is all about worthless celebrity worship and the fact that we idolize actors and singers over scientists and engineers. Fuck that bullshit, and fuck people who care about these shitbags that they've never even had a conversation with. Ugh.

Not calling bullshit on the fact that music has the power to reach and touch people's lives directly. But that's not why people worship these scumsuckers.

And people have conversations with top scientists and engineers? Unless they do something really big how is it that a regular person is going to even know their names?

OK, then try this one instead. The psycho, in Norway, is looking to publicize his manifesto. Would you rather support that, by talking about him or make him feel worthless, by making it painfully obvious that a dead drug addled pop star is more important than his politics?

Planned or not, it's the way that things should be.

Dude, when's the last time you hummed the Period Tables to yourself, while blasting down a twisty road? Fuck, if it wasn't for music, half of us would never have mastered the ABC's. (If it wasn't for the LMNOP part of that song, I still couldn't tell you where the fucking N is supposed to be.)

I'm not bummed because a singer died. People die all the time, fuck do I care? I'm bummed because the wrong singer died. No, I never had a conversation with her, but then again, I never had a conversation with the 90 whatever Norwegians that just got shot either.

This is not "idol worship" from me, of all people.

I'm 28, who is she supposed to appeal to?

She hasn't been relevant for years. I just don't get it. When was her last album, 3 years ago? I was in the desert then anyways so I guess I missed the hype during that time.

There's the age thing again. Relevant means nothing to me. I remember Jelly Shoes. I didn't care.

I liked her voice. I really enjoyed the message in her songs. I just started really getting into her music. I liked her voice. It's that simple.

Most of the artists I listen to aren't 'relevant, hell they aren't even known

They tried to make go rehab, but I said "thud".

What's the difference between Amy Winehouse and a bucket of glass, needles, and crack? The bucket.

What's the difference between Amy Winehouse and a ladder? Ladders don't die.

Why was Amy Winehouse being treated for an adverse reaction to medication? Doctor said she had overdosed on fresh air.

What is Amy Winehouse's favorite song?
I wanna rock! (crack pun)

Amy Winehouse? Moar liek Amy Crackhouse, AMIRITE!?

BREAKING NEWS! The European Heroine industry takes a tumble for the worse with the death of Amy Winehouse. Dealers leaving the industry by the thousands.

Amy Winehouse was disappointed when it was explained to her that she had won 5 Grammys and not 5 Grams

Is it me or does Amy Winehouse
look like she's pissed in more sinks
than she's washed in..

Whats the difference between Amy Winehouse and Russell Brand?
Russell Brand kind of looks like a girl.

What's the difference between Amy Winehouse and a large, flat-bottomed canal boat full of gravel?
You might touch the boat with a barge pole.

Amy Winehouse death being blamed on the weight she carried on her shoulders... her hair.

Amy tried to get into Heaven, St Peter said NO NO NO.
