Am I the only one who refuses to answer the phone when it says that? It makes me cringe. If you're too important to show me who's calling, I'm too important to answer.

Nope, same here.

My mobile is for MY convenience...not that of anyone else.

I always have it muted...and never even know if/when someone calls. I check it periodically and call or text back if it's someone I want to converse with....ignore it if not. :idk:

That's all fine and good. But, what about the question I asked?

If a person or business feels the need to hide their name or number from caller ID, I have no need to talk to them, especially a business. If I need to get in contact with a business, I will call them. If they're calling me, 99% of the time it's an unsolicited call to try and sell me shit I don't want.

I answered...I don't answer the mobile....unknown name/unknown number or not.

People who respond to every little chirp or flashing light of their mobile are annoying.

In the US, most "unknown" callers are telemarketers or political campaigns. So yeah, ignoring them is pretty much standard procedure.

I ignore them on my cell. Land line is set up to not accept blocked numbers. Have to dial *82 to unmask your number before calling my house.

I answer them, but only because my mobile is my business number.

I also answer UN/UN because my husband's ship number either comes through UNUN or some random 25 digit number.

eh i end up picking it up a lot, because a lot of insurance companies and high tier bank numbers are blocked, so when they call you for some security authorizations you cant call them back at that number, you gotta jump through hoops. If I refused to pick up on principle for these things, I would have shot myself in the foot several times this year.

From my experience, any military number comes up unavailable. That's my paycheck so I answer. If its someone I don't want to talk to, I just hang up. If I'm busy, I'm not going to answer anyway regardless, cause I'm busy.

If I am not busy I'll answer just because it's easier than having to call my voicemail later.

I don't get too many of those, so it doesn't really bother me.

If they dont leave a message then it's not important.

I always answer those, because I want to know what douche blocked their caller ID.
