A new survey supports stereotypes that Android users are more likely to be late tech adopters who skew politically conservative, whereas iPhone/iOS users are more likely liberal, outgoing city-dwellers who make more money, take more vacations and enjoy the finer things in life.

The nonscientific study
In my experience, iPhone users tend to be more interested in form over function, whereas Android folks tend to be more into the nuts and bolts of making things work.
Apple users also seem more inclined to open their wallets just because Steve Jobs said so, whereas Android users are a lot more picky about where their money goes.

This is the same kind of story as the browser story from a few weeks back. It's some goofy, thrown together fluff piece that will be discredited in a week by another equally lame article that states the opposite. They show nothing. The only thing that can be said about iPhone users is that they use an iPhone, and Android users use an Android phone. Anything more is retarded cheerleading so people can feel good about the dumb shit they buy.

so if we have droid phones and an ipad????
how does one even attempt to compare demographics between one high market phone and literally hundreds of others that are marketed to all levels? The slightest attempt to apply scientific controls might be nice :lmao:

Same with me except it's an iPhone. And a company paid iPad. And a company paid Xoom. I don't know where the fuck I fit in.

Just curious, why both an iPad and a Xoom?

Spoken like a true Android fanboy.
I'm an iPhone user. It happens to be the only Apple product I own. I'm also a computer engineer. So how's that for "into nuts and bolts of making things work" for you?

I requested them for testing our software that I work with, even though they are only used for that purpose 5% of the time. They sit unused most of the week.
It's high time for another toy, but I'm not sure what to ask for.
