Why would you buy one? I get that it's cheap, but, out of the box, you're at a major disadvantage. The app support for webOS was always shit, developers are leaving the platform, and there's no future for it.

Tssk Tssk. Already got people working on porting over honeycomb and what not. WebOS is decent. It's just like any other software. Some live and some die. The tablet itself is fine. Apps. I don't give a shit. There's already thousands to choose from. How many apps do you have on your phone? So what if android market has 60k apps. 70% of them are useless.

When the FUCK did you get a VFR?

The quality of the apps on webOS is shit. I briefly had a Pre+, and after the brief novelty wore of, it went back for an Android phone. The homebrew community is the only thing that made that piece of shit even moderately interesting. Even if only 5% of the now over 200K apps are worth a shit, that's still double the entire app selection of the webOS market. $99 is a nice price for the hardware, but it's going to be limited in so many aspects. Spending a little more for a Nook Color and dumping one of the Honeycomb roms would seem to be a better deal if you're looking for a hacked honeycomb tablet.

They were using it to prop up one of the tables at Denny's.

I know from experience how these things go. In a box at my mom's house I have an Atari Jaguar, a Nintendo Virtual Boy, and an Apple Newton. I've given away an Atari Lynx, Sega Game Gear, and Sega Saturn. All purchased during fire sale times (except the Newton, thanks Santa). They're all interesting for the first month or two, and then paperweights when nothing new showed up.

Fool me six times, shame on me...
