My generator earns its keep tonight.
Got a full tank, and another 20 gallons...as well as a full tank in the truck I can siphon if need be.
Oddly, my Internet and Cable TV has stayed up...but I'm the only one on the block with lights at this point...

Cable and phone are underground so they don't usually die unless things get bad.

Not in Jersey, they're not. If it even hints of rain, everything's usually out.
Power's been in and out, so I'm just staying on generator, and avoiding the surges.

Power's back, things seem to have settled a bit...I may be speaking too soon, and get hit with the backside...but we'll see...so far, so good.

Any flooding issues out your way, heard on my way to work a few of the rivers will be overflowing.

I need to get me one, but I want at least a 10K, so I can run the house almost as normal on it.

Haven't ventured out on the streets today, I think I'll leave the roads clear for the crews to clean up.
Had to move a few downed branches, and one old downed tree in the drive.
Small branches everywhere.
One thing I did notice: Remember how we didn't have acorns for a couple years, and they came back...sorta...last year? Well, prepare to be fucking pelted with tiny coconuts. Looks like the Oaks have strengthened, and are plotting revenge. Fucking things are big, real fucking big...and they're still not full grown. Look out below...

Yeah, but you'll never get it up to 88 MPH, so you're stuck here with us.

lol, It would require one massive vehicle to get the nuke plant up to 88 mph

No shit. Back in FL, if you had a generator running after a storm knocked out everything, you'd better keep a close eye on it or it would grow legs and walk off.

We fared well. The lights blinked twice and that was it. I did get some looks of envy when I was testing the generator on Saturday. :lol My neighbors know I am well armed so they stay clear of my stuff.
