With the help of Lennard Zinn and my husband. He's been into this long before we ever met. We've just been distracted with motors, and he thought he would get me into mountain bikes. So, with his tools - I built my first bicycle. :)

I was just about to ask you if you were done with it yet.

900SS. If you're gonna build a bike, that's how to do it.
Shit, I couldn't afford the pedals, much less the frame.
What's the final weigh-in?

Since I've been out of bikes a while and I'm looking w/ my phone,
Is that a single ft sprocket? If so then it's a downhill orientated bike? But them you have xc wheels???
While very cool looking I wouldn't think they would hold up. Last set of wheels I bought we're mavic crossmax's
I ran raceface cranks too, I was more into syncros and chris king
I was at the bike store this weekend buying charlie a balance bike and it's amazing the bike you can but for $1000 nowadays

That is one of the most beautiful two wheeled contraptions I've ever laid eyes on. Absolutely gorgeous.
I am unimpressed with Hayes brakes, they just aren't made to stop fiddies. LOL
Ive tested the limits of mountain bike brakes like no one before ha ha.
Ok, am I the only one to notice this? You might be missing the engine.

Ed, austin is more of a single track areas then a downhill. There is a fun story behind the wheels. Mini of the components on this bike my husband is using me as an excuse to buy the components he's always wanted. He ordered the beautiful set of white crank brothers wheels. Those wheels were not available anymore but they had already charged his card. So they offered these at the same price at a steal...
I hate egg beaters so I've gone with a pedal that's a clip

I use Shimano clipless so I was wondering how the double bar design works compared to those.
Looks good Moi!! Less than 48 hrs in the cast... probably another month before i'm on single track.

Nice ride. I have built my own since the mid-90s. This time around, I went with an off-the-shelf model, as it has been a loooonnng time since I've built a bike.
I have a soft spot for Rocky Mountain:

Mmmhmmm. Hardtail.... that's how I roll.
(mainly because most of the good FS bikes are too rich for my blood :nee: )
I'm still rocking the '05 Specialized Hardrock that I picked up from a friend for $100.

Damn Moira.
With all the coin that went into that thing, I'm thinking it may have been cheaper to just buy the mountain.

The ridiculous part, I was checking out components. These aren't even the "expensive" ones. I mean.... hot damn the money that people spend on stuff without motors!

Where did you get all the parts from?
I've always wanted a litespeed, the guy who started building them started not too far from where I work and a lot of people here know him.
My first 29er. Best fitting bike I've ever owned.
I love my 29er *swoon* Cast comes off tomorrow morning, then I get to learn to ride again! :lmao:
