I like this:
If the experiment is independently repeated — most likely by teams in the United States or Japan — then it would require a fundamental rethink of modern physics.
Basically:
"Congrats, Jacques and Luigi, you disproved Einstein. Tell you what: Let some real physicists replicate your little test, then we'll talk."

The only theory disproved by Einstein would be one part of the Special Theory "Light is the fastest particle in a vaccuum"
His other observations would stand
Many of the predictions of general relativity, such as the bending of starlight by gravity and a tiny shift in the orbit of the planet Mercury, have been quantitatively confirmed by experiment.
