Sorry, I just have a deep seated hate for FB (long story), and especially in light of this past weeks changes (and everyone's apparent hate of them), I envisioned this shit touching of a firestorm of people motherfucking FB, and I made a little joke.

I personally think the "free one" is indeed awful enough, and I'm pretty sure if that they ever tried charging for it, there'd be a mass fucking exodus to another service, not unlike the one that brought people over from MySpace to begin with.

In case you still have any doubts; remember...I read tech news blogs (I post shit here all the time). If Facebook was going pay service, I'd have heard about it, read it on a tech blog. Really.

Facebook is pure evil. My FB page has no info on it, but instead actually has a link to my MySpace page, which has a few pics, and some professional information.

My FB page also has only one pic (an old MySpace one), and it is from a severe angle, so as to confound their facial recognition software.

My security settings do not allow people to initiate posts, and nothing I do on the site is "shared". People can only comment on videos I share to the wall. I keep it almost entirely to music.

I share videos on my wall, by hitting the share button on YouTube, but I use it mostly just as a playlist, so I can go back and view music I like again. It also serves as a list of my musical influences and tastes, to those musicians I may work with.

I was forced to create the page in the first place, because I had to effect a take down of an impersonator profile that was pretending to be one of my family members. I was exceedingly difficult, and they are assholes.

I ended up making some professional contacts, and I am reluctant to take the page down, but I do not use any of the site's features, and use it just for establishing contacts.

Although I loathe social media, because I'm in show biz, I have to be at least somewhat connected. I have managed to keep it VERY low key. Despite being in a media business, and having famous close relatives, I have managed to stay out of the glare.

JC knows all this, he knows how much it cost me, in terms of work and anguish, to have the fake profiles taken down, and he's just being an asshole.
