Actress Kicked Off Flight For Kissing Girl
Southwest Says Passengers Called Behavior 'Excessive'

Actress Leisha Hailey, who starred in the Showtime series "The L Word," claims she and her girlfriend were kicked off a Southwest flight for kissing each other, People.com reported.

"I have been discriminated against by @SouthwestAir," Hailey tweeted Monday. "Flt. attendant said that it was a "family" airline and kissing was not ok."

The 40-year-old actress criticized the airline for staffing "homophobic employees" and added: "Since when is showing affection towards someone you love illegal? I want to know what Southwest Airlines considers as 'family.' I know plenty of wonderful same sex families I would like to introduce them to. Boycott @SouthwestAir if you are gay. They don't like us."

The airline posted a statement late Monday, saying: "We received several passenger complaints characterizing the behavior as excessive."

"Our crew, responsible for the comfort of all customers on board, approached the passengers based solely on behavior and not gender," the statement continued. "The conversation escalated to a level that was better resolved on the ground, as opposed to in flight."

Was the plane already in the air and then re-directed? If so, she should be fined bigtime for the inconvenience.

Somehow I doubt it was a brief kiss like normal people may do on an airplane... full out making out... nobody should be subjected to watching two strangers make out...

Unless it's two ridiculously hot chicks... then it's totally allowable.

Agreed, if its 2 cinemax type lesbos then that should not only be allowed but encouraged. 2 bull dykes on the other hand, we cant have any of that.

That article is, of course, not giving all the info...There are numerous complaints by passengers that these two were doing much more than a hug and kiss on the cheek...That being said, why can't people just sit back and enjoy the show?????

You rarely even see a straight couple kissing......Definitely not while standing up in the aisle like these 2 showboats were probably doing.

Agreed!

Sounds like these two bitches have had a chip on their shoulder for a while and were happy to cash it in.

I'd drive 200miles to fly SW if they told them that they would have to be moved to the kitchen.

That's right! Kind of like in school where if you brought candy you better have enough for the whole class.

They weren't kicked off for kissing.
They were kicked off for turning into screaming banshees after being asked to "get a room" and relax with the PDA.

If it was just a kiss, then the airline should be sued.

If they were practically having sex in their seats, then thats a bit different.

I would have complained about the people complaining though.

Agreed... just a kiss is no biggie, but a make out session is a different story.

Yeah, a make-out session shouldn't be on a plane. It should be in my living room. In a kiddie pool full of mineral oil. Topless. Surrounded by lava lamps. All while Beck plays on my stereo. And I'm eating a big bag of Twizzlers.

So has her movie "Fertile Ground" already come out, or is it coming up? If it's coming up, then she needs press. If it was already released then there was absolutely no buzz about it, and her career needs some press.
