As four of you saw at the rally, my powerlet cig adapter was all corroded up from the top coming off and getting wet. Well since everything I use is USB now and I have a lot of connections

I got bored took this:

and a used one of these:

And made this:

Removed the corroded cig adapter from the mix.

Mine won't be exposed. I have a long enough cable to run it into my tankbag.

This is for charging stuff. Like my phone and my Sena's if I run out of power.

Yeah I know... that's why the HD was the charging hub for you guys.

I got home and my cig adapter was corroded the next day after all that rain. Need to disconnect the bat and clean it out with a wire brush, then throw some dielectric grease on it to keep it from corroding again. May have to buy a new one if I can't clean it up.

It was used for me because I forgot my USB cig adapter.

Too bad I didn't see this sooner. I keep meaning to pick up a couple of these. Supposedly rated to 1A.

And out of stock :nee:

There are more, that is the first one I found. It seems the others are as expensive without the creative ends this one has. I might have to add one to one of my cases...

Only online. They've got them in stores :p

I was thinking about adding one to my top case but it would probably be more useful to add a couple under the seat, then run wiring to wherever the device is.

Yup, and they've got at least a couple of dozen stores, across the country. I can get to the closest one in about 15 minutes. Great place to buy bits to build a trailer, oddball tools, and various electrical bits & pieces.

Only automotive related electrical. If you can imagine something being used in a car or a workshop, then they probably got it. The stores I've been in are the size of a supermarket.
