So I went out to my bike the other night to put my new registration papers in the trunk of my bike. I open the seat up and...nothing. :tt: Greeeeeeaaaaat. :td:

This sucks! I don't loose things! I don't know where it could have gone. There is no way it could have fallen out of the bike and the last time I remember taking it out was when my husband washed my bike and soaked the thing...but that was months ago. I know I added my new insurance card since then but I would not have taken it into the house to do that. AHHHHHHHHHHH!

I am just posting because I am bored...and frustrated...and I am hoping maybe this will jog my memory to what may have happened to the thing. :willy:

Sorry to hear that. Good you found out before you got pulled over and didn't have your paperwork :panic:

I have State farm and they give out plastic envelopes for holding the insurance and registration cards. It's too big to fit flat in the underseat pocket but with just a fold, it fits in quite well. Maybe something like that when you get the replacements.

Can you go on line to the CA DMV to print out a new registration card?

Good luck
Jeff

I have one of those plastic covers. Luckily the reason I was getting it out was because I needed to put my new registration papers in there...so I don't really need the old one. But my up to date insurance card was in there. Now I just have an old one I forgot to take out of my wallet. So it is not the worst situation. If I get pulled over I have the old insurance card that has the current ID number on it.

Put them in zip lock bags... then re-stow away. You won't have to remove for bike wash or worry about getting caught in rain.

Further, with a bueaty like you... I'm sure you would be fine if you got pulled over.

even in my truck I keep my stuff in a zip lock bag... makes them easier to find and they're all in one place... funny how I say it like it's a good thing I do that... but it came from being pulled over so much that I needed quick and easy access to them
