Has anybody used the "Bill Me Later" function on SchmeEbay??? Does anybody know how it works? Do they send you a physical card, or is it just a digital account? They approved me for $801. :lol I have no idea why the extra $1 is in there....
I'm buying a larger item for a christmas gift, and they are offering no interest and no payments for 6 months. And $10 back. It might be a good idea for a big purchase. I'd probably never use it again after this. But I had a big school bill hit recently, and I dont want to put the purchase on an interest bearing account.
:idk:

No interest? Riiiiiiiiiggggght. Why would they keep pitching it to me every singe day if there was no profit on their part.

cuz most people don't payoff the 0% in 6 mos, and then the XX% interest applies to the item for the 6 mos. prior.
looks like an ebay CC to me

Yep.
I don't know anything about the option but this seems like the most logical answer.
(Did I just quote Ed and then use the word "logical"?)

Read the hell out of the terms and conditions to make sure there isn't anything to bite you. Off the top of my head I can think of fees over the life of the account (not just the loan), the account is difficult to cancel, the credit provider has a terrible history of customer service, etc. I wouldn't trust some random loan provider, particularly if I needed good credit for anything in the near future.

I do work for eBay/PayPal, but I will not pretend to understand our products because that's not my job. But BML is a subsidiary of PayPal and the financing goes through PP. I have no idea if there are hidden fees, but BML is a growing part of our business now and I'm pretty sure it just works like a CC.
And, just like every other credit card, they make their money off people not paying their balance in full within 6 months.

Ebay recently got OWNED by a $30 million class-action lawsuit. I got a $37 check in the mail.
