It'll have been a beatdown they will remember for life, that's for sure. Bet they will be freaking courteous to people on the other side of the counter now!

I hope one of those "lingering effects" is fear of being a freaking douchebag.

Yeah cuz a guy who continues to beat girls with a hard object even after they're down is really worthy of our praise.

My guess is the dude was acting on survival instincts. After spending 10 years in prison, I imagine he wasn't willing to let anyone get up to hit him back, especially since he thought they said they were going to cut him up.

They probably said "fuck you up" and his lawyer suggested he claim that he thought it was "cut you up".

Somehow I really doubt he thought they might have a weapon.

You ever been attacked by someone? Someone whom you had no idea of their capabilities, motivation, or intentions?

What, so all of a sudden they're going to pull out a knife, and for what? To "own" him for insisting on checking their $50 bill? They ALREADY owned him by slapping him, and he didn't do shit back, but you still think they might have wanted to stab him too. Unlikely, but ok.

MORE likely, they're just a couple of typical ghetto chicks who go around slapping and kicking dudes and expecting not to get hit in return, simply because they're girls. That backfired on them this time, which is good. But that doesn't change my opinion that this dude went overkill. They're already down, and he's standing there laughing at them and then decides to swing a couple more times. "Oh but maybe they pulled out a knife while they were on the ground".......yeah ok......except that didn't happen, or he would have said so in court

Good for him. Those stupid bitches got exactly what was coming to them. I hope the charges against them stick and they learn a thing or two from the encounter.

If I ever meet that guy, I'm buying him a beer.

I've been reading your posts for nearly a decade and have seen at least one picture of you w/ Jayman at the airport. I think I'm safe in assuming you aren't some physically aggressive guy. If you are, you've got the normal internet vs. real personas all crossed up.

Huh? Never met Jayman, and don't know what airport you're talking about.

I'm also not sure what "physically aggressive" is supposed to "look" like, unless we're to assume it requires being huge or something.

My point is this: if you've never been in a situation where someone is attacking you (to say nothing about two or more), you'd know that all rational thought goes out the freaking window. Further, it stays out the window until sometime after the flight is over, not right after you're "safe". It doesn't work the way they usually show it in books and movies.

This was also a not so nice place in NYC so the fact a gun o rknife wasnt pulled is surprising. I have treated many a cat fight in my ER and they do a good jobof messing each other up. Guys dont fight with their fists anymore so they all come in shot or stabbed.

Never said I was. I just thought it was strange how you think you'd be able to tell whether someone would be good at defending themselves based on how they post, or what they look like in a photo.

Nothing to do with defending yourself. Everything to do with knowing the frame of mind someone is in when they are unexpectedly attacked. The "thought process" many juries like to think they would have exercised in the same scenario is often... lofty.

I wasn't trying to be insulting to you, just trying to point out that I don't think you're in a situation too often where you have to fight an unknown combatant. My apologies if that was inaccurate, but yes, based on what I "know" about you on here I thought that was a safe conclusion.

You're right, I don't get confronted with that situation very often. Other than a party that turned bad once every 3-4 years, and then of course there's middle school.

To me it just seemed like some of you were taking your despisement for the chicks and using it to excuse the dude for whatever he does. I agree there's always going to be an adrenaline rush when someone is attacked. But it doesn't always excuse their actions. It said the jury took 11 hours, not 1, so apparently it wasn't cut and dry for them.

funny reporting:
Greenwich Village, NY — Back in October, Jaded posted a story about Rayon McIntosh, the 31-year-old McDonald’s cashier caught on video beating two female customers after they jumped the counter and attacked him. Yesterday, a grand jury dismissed all charges against him.

The incident happened one morning when Rachel Edwards and Denise Darbeau, both 24, tried to pay for their food with a $50 bill. The pair became irate when McIntosh told the women he needed to scan their bill for authenticity before he could give them their food. During the argument that followed, Darbeau leans over the counter and slaps McIntosh across the face.

The two women then make their way behind the counter to continue their confrontation with McIntosh, but he introduces the women to his little friend — a metal rod. McIntosh starts swinging for the fences and both women go down faster than your teen daughter on her date to the prom. By time it’s over both women are writhing on the greasy floor, one with a fractured skull, wondering what year it is.

McIntosh was initially arrested on charges of felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon but he was released from jail yesterday after all of those charges were dropped. Both women are still facing charges of menacing, trespassing and disorderly conduct.

Here’s the video, for those of you who missed it.
