Just heard on the radio that the first of their neighbours, who forced his way through the door to look for the kid, got stabbed in the back.

I was thinking, "... with fire.", but I suppose that bullets work just as well.

Poor kid has been dead and rotting for so long, that they won't even be able to prove what they did to him.
