47mpg out of this tank of gas. And this motherfucking bike handles like a dream on a twisty road. And, uh, yes...that 47mpg was twisty thrashing. Back to you.

Wife likes to ride on back occasionally....otherwise I'd ditch them.

ahh ok... just saw the solo cowl... couldn't remember if your wife liked to ride or not

The seat is hidden nicely under the cowl.
That pic is a month or two old...I have since polished the headers...and they look awesome.

It's similar rear to the 1125. Cutty said his bike has a helmet lock...this doesn't. So they aren't identical.
Yeah I need a sound clip....it sounds incredible.

I saw a guy pushing a blinged out, cameleon paint job, chrome wheeled firebolt to a gas station Friday. Guess gas mileage wasn't so good on his.

Gas mileage may have been great....his knowledge of how many miles he gets out of a tank might not have been.

Word. Never noticed.
How much of a pain is it to remove and replace your pass pegs? I use to just swap 'em out whenever I took her for a ride. Only took 5-10 minutes.

Two bolts each, 5/16" allen wrench... I think. Not hard after the first time you break the thread locker. Of course, I only took mine off... 10 minute job.

Yup, 2 allen bolts each.

Nice Mark. I'm glad the new bike has gotten you back on the road a bit... you seemed like you had lost interest towards the end of your time with Pinky.

I have to take mine off for trackdays, it's in the rules... but I always leave them on for trailering, that's where I attach the rear tiedowns.
I'm going to have to figure something else out now that I have the track plastics unless I want to take the tail off...

Only in the straights.
Only in the straights.
That's really the only good passing points at NSS. Not worth it to force a pass in the corners there for just a track day.
I got some of you buells coming out of 10 on the long sweeper to the front straight though.
I don't think I made a single pass in a corner all night come to think of it. I either outbraked or had more top end.

i made mine either coming outof T10 or coming out of T6, i mostly got passed into turn 1
According to this I made all my passes going into 6 and in turn 10, with a few entering 2.

I was able to make a couple passes coming into turn one and I made a couple between three and four.
I did make a shameful pass of an RC51 in turn 10 coming into the long straight.
I think the rider just wanted to check out my ass.
He had the number 4 and What What on his back.

Nice Mark. I'm glad the new bike has gotten you back on the road a bit... you seemed like you had lost interest towards the end of your time with Pinky.
It's definately gotten back on the road more. I had very little interest in riding the Zuk. Not that it was a bad bike, because it wasn't...I just lost interest in it.
This bike is the exact opposite. I love every minute on the Buell. It's so much fun. I just pop it into 2nd or 3rd gear (doesn't matter which) and hammer it.
Bike looks damn nice Marko.
Thanks man.

I use canyon dancers and that's it. But the roads in New England are shit compared to out here. S-H-I-T!

You mean you only strap down the front of the bike into a chock?
If I did that I think the rear wheel would be hopping all over the damn place.

I'm not sure if the eyehooks I sunk into the bed of the trailer are at a good angle to do it that way... hmmm.
What I'd really like is to grab an enclosed dealie and get a couple of those pitbull trailer restraints in there

Canyon dancer on the front, one strap on each side of the swingarm in the rear. No problems.

Cutty is right... 90% of your strapping hold comes from the front of the bike. The rear is just to keep it from bouncing around. I have hauled many bikes and all of my bike numerous times...
