I think so to. There have been a lot of warrior-priest type movements in the past where people use combat to grow spiritually. It just sounds strange because its evangelicals doing it, if they were Buddhists nobody would bat an eye.

Certainly. Martial arts have long standing ties with eastern religions... Now westerners are using it spiritually... As someone just getting into it, I can see how they make sense together.
