I actually decided to take the bike to work even thought it was raining.

I put on my Nelson Riggs rain suit since it was raining at 5:45 am this morning when I left for work. Took off and thought "this isn't too bad". Then I got into a gully washer. About a third of the way there ( 19 miles one way ) I noticed my boots were wet.:panic: That and my gloves were the only items that got wet. That rain suit was a very good investment.

It actually stopped raining about 2 miles from work.

The "payoff" was a beautiful ride home. Oh, my boots and gloves were dry by then. :dthumb:

I rode this morning under threatening skies. Stayed dry on the way here...about 10 minutes later it started raining. Should just be a passing shower. Fuck it. We'll do it live.

Got a little wet yesterday on the way in. Mostly heavy fog and spray from cagers. That's why I keep a change of clothes at work :dthumb:

I cheated  I purchased a '93 Kawasaki ZR1100 that I've been riding to work.

Once I started spending $80 a week on gas to fill the Suburban, it was time to get a cycle quick.

I rode home in a torential down pour last night...Tornado Warning and all.

But my point was I rode INTO work in the rain instead of taking the Suburban. A bit different when it rains on your way home.

I got caught in two "gully washers" the first month I had the bike. Both times it was raining so hard I could only see 75' :panic:

The saleshole at the cycle shop told me that my Olympia textile armored jacket was waterproof. When I stopped in to tell him I got soaked thru, he said " Oh, the LINER is waterproof". asshole
