Then why don't swimmers, track, cycling, various other athletes annoy me?

I think it mainly has to do with watching american ninja warrior and the douchebag announcers always going on about parkour and how douchey the contestants are for the most part. Japanese ninja warrior is so much better. They don't try as hard to make every back story a tear jerker.
