Will you remember it?

I always remember zombies... won't remember the instructions in a few days... even though I already knew all that shit.

If you'll remember the piece and what it was about, then it was worth something.

Someone is trying to milk the Walking Dead.

Too bad people are to big of pussies to actually do it when it needs to be done.

I will say they are better than the AHA CPR for healthcare providers. Fat Midget porn has better acting.

"I was walking next to a hospital, then suddenly I collapsed. If not for the quick response from falling in front of a cardiologist on his way to the cath lab, I wouldn't be here today".

Or my favorite
"I was looking at my newborn child and I suddenly I noticed it wasn't breathing. I calmly rushed to the door and said "My baby isn't breathing, help". I quickly got out of the way of the medical staff and didn't try to kill all of them becuase they couldn't bring it back Fonz style. Becuase of that my baby is alive".

I hate it when people call babies, "it."

I guess I'm just too simple. Just tell me what to do and I'll do my best to remember. I don't want to have to recall zombies while the person is dieing on me.

Babies are "it" in my mind. I don't like them and I think they're ugly.

The truth is people don't remember, even trained ones. I had to do compressions on a guy in the field after he collapsed at the end of a 10k. I was running it, not working it. I hear people yell for medics and look to see a guy lying on the ground. I go over there and see a woman slapping the guy in the head saying "sir, sir, can you hear me" and shaking his head some more. I check his pulse and there isn't one. I start compressions and 30 seconds later the guy comes back. Saves in the field are rare, very very very rare. The woman who was slapping him said "It's okay sir, I'm an ER nurse". Dumb bitch didn't think to check his pulse and then did the biggest no-no, move someone's neck around after they fell to the ground.

They really need to campaign heavily with multiple lawyers saying "If you try CPR on someone and they die, you're protected under the good samaritin thingy mabober". People are scared to try something because what if the they don't need CPR, and I broke that person's ribs for nothing. I've seen a ton of people die from MIs becuase people didn't want to mess things up more and stood there. Including cops standing around who are generally trained in basic CPR if not first responder.

I guess I have a different perspective on it. As smittie said its rare that people just wake up after a few chest compressions, and even now AED's are almost everywhere and most cops and fire depts have them on their rigs. At the very least the cpr/aed may buy you soem time in getting them to the hospital so they can get the care they need.

On a side note, 2 weeks ago we had a dialysis pt come in, turns out he had a high potasium level that was actualy causing a fatal arrhythmia and tihs guy went into v-tach yet wa sstill conscious. We put the pads on and shocked him with 200 joules, with no sedatives or anything. Boy was he pissed, he gave us the WTF did you do that for look.
