Actually mine is a 2006 330i, not the 2007+ they posted

I think they're talking about the turbo models, which did have reliability problems

I picked the Jeep because I know many people on here worship them

Hell, the Jeep is the only vehicle on that list that I would have considered owning anyway.

Any lemon list that doesn't have Range Rover on it is automatically null and void.

EXACTLY!

If you've ever known anyone who bought a Disco you've known someone with 99 problems a DAY!

I would still much rather have a 370 than a 350. Better looking and better interior.

Very well. Had to have them replace a fallen off windshield washer cover, and had a speaker failing in the door. Other than that... it's great. Love the free oil changes. Told them when I dropped it off that the front wiper blades sucked. They replaced both fronts and the rear, free of charge as part of my all included services.

Cars that depreciate like a brick are great. That means they're killer bargains in the secondhand market.

True, but then you run the risk of looking like the guy who wants to rock the prestige car but can't really afford it, so he buys the old one. If you ask him, he says "Yeah, I drive a Lexus" (but artfully avoids mentioning that it's a 2003 that had 70k on it when he bought it)
There's a certain level of sense to it. I mean, if it's about getting a still-nice car at a bargain, then cool. But I think a lot of people do it just for the image and don't realize it makes the opposite impression of what they intend.
Of course, that could be because I see a lot of people who seem to be doing that in my part of town.

Either that, or they're just confident with their ability to fix & maintain used cars.

Or, it was a hand-me-down from their rich parents.

Or, it's an older person who simply keeps their cars for 10 years or more.

Either way, it helps the rest of us, because it keeps small businesses (shops) afloat, and it helps the environment by not needing to manufacture another new car, with all the pollution it causes to make all that plastic, steel, rubber and paint.

Wait... did I just get my attempt at a judgmental post derailed by Slice? :skep:

Don't care. :) Great car, not much money. I think buying new cars is pretty dumb when you can get the same thing, or more, for much less.

Oh, I understand. I think it's all in what you choose.
If you're driving an oil-burning, jankety looking high end car just so you can say you own one of whatever brand it is, is it really a great deal or are you just pretending?
We're not talking certified pre-owned here.

And there will never be another. That Australian thing that Pontiac slapped a GTO badge on does not count.

There's more American/German Influence in them than you think.

And there currently owned by a Middle Eastern Trucking Company Called Tata.

So figure all that the fuck out...And it's not as British as it once used to be.
