I am finally replacing my leaky right side case cover. I ordered the parts...got them home and realized that the bearing inside the cover did not come with the new one. :tt: Sooooooo...now I have two options; run over to the bike shop and order a new one :td: OR figure out how the hell to get the bearing out. :willy: I also think I need to get the metal dowels out too although I have not really tried to get those out yet...

If anyone has ever had any experience with anything like this please help! I know it is probably a long shot but maybe someone has an idea. Thanks!

Pics in case they help...

did you just try popping it out and it come out?

No. :tt:  I took the piece to the bike shop and asked if they could get it out. He played with it a bit and said that bearing is not worth it because it does not spin that smoothly. Plus he said those dowels are a bitch to get out.

Luckily it was pretty cheap for both dowels and the bearing.

well, thats lucky. removing or installing those bearings is easiest if you have a device to evenly heat the case, and a hydraulic press to fit it into the case.
