A few afternoons ago in the parking lot at work, suiting up for the ride home.

Random guy appearing from the shadows: "How many hauces?"

Me: "Hauces?"

Random guy: "Yeah, how many hauces?"

Me: "Houses?"

Random guy: "Hauces."

Me: "Horses?"

Random guy: "Hauces."

Me: "You mean horsepower?"

Random guy: "Yeah, how many hauces that thing got?"

Yep, I was in south GA last weekend for a funeral. And I thought SC accents were bad.

My mom worked in the ER when she first became a nurse...

Drunk guy stumbles in, covered in abrasions, clothes torn up...

"Holly..."

Sir?

"Holly... my Holly..."

Excuse me? What happened to you sir?

"Holly Davidson..."

Who is Holly, sir? Did she do this to you?

"Yeah, my Holly..."

What exactly happened?

"Just pulled out in front of my Holly..."

Where is she sir? Is she ok?

My mom steps in... "No, he crashed his motorcycle... Harley Davidson..."

"yeah... my Holly..."

lol

Do you say 'pasketti' and 'pesific'? If so, you're 4.

Really?

Is that so?

In what way?

Do tell.

Explain.

As long as South GA keeps their gas cheap for when we drive through, I don't give a shit how they pronounce their words.

How about spect instead of expect

I find x's are generally replaced with s's... espect... esercise... etc.

And yet, there's "expresso" instead of "espresso".
That one, however, doesn't seem to be regional.
