I just stopped into the Dealership that I bought my Ducati in to see when they would be getting a KTM RC8. THe first thing the salesman says Is "We will have one the end of Sept but come here there is something I need to show you.." A brand new Ducati Desmosedici RR then he says you have to hear this, and he fires it up.. OH MY GOD what a great sound. Then he say we ordered for a guy that doesnt seem to be able to make the financing if you take it today you can have it for $65K My over draft protection doesn't seem to cover this can anyone spare some change?

The D16R does sound good with the race pipes installed. I saw two Sedicis the other weekend and they both had the race pipes installed. Sounded bad to the bone when they get revv'ed up. Not outrageously loud though, but sweet. So I gave them a few blips of the KTM's in return.
If I were to have that much money to spend on the D16, I'd chop off the fairings and make it into a naked bike. Wouldn't that be awesome?
Maybe next year when Aprilia releases their V-4, they'll do a Tuono version.

Could have helped, but the timing of the $50K request isn't optimal. :)
Need the $$$ for the arrival next week of the one ordered last October. Will be #891. Been a long wait.

or like 50. Can't wait to see it man. Better ride it like its supposed to be ridden. 5 miles and hour to the living room to let it sit for 20 years to be sold for insane amounts of money.

Thanks for the love, all. :)
Only 24 miles on the odom with most windows near the dealership uncontrollably blasted out by the passing Desmo. Like Pied Piper had motorcyclists note the thing and would look in the mirror seeing bikes just following. Will record a ride vid with audio soon.

Appreciate the comments. Only two other pics from the day the stork came. Long ride planned tomorrow.

quite a shame that 99% of people that see that are just gonna see another sport bike, not the glorious example of machinery that it really is.

nothin homo about a 200 hp v4 buddy ;). think about it like they were two immensely gorgeous women: both brimming with lust and promise of pleasures unspoken...its just that you might actually have a chance in hell with the priller'

Ahhh... Will just have to :kawi: out to MS.
I rode the Natchez Trace once. Very pretty, but a cruising kind of ride. And that's OK.
This will get you started. There are some fine two wheeled roads in the state... http://www.motorcycleroads.com/routes/SouthEast/MS/MS_index.htm

BOOKMARKED! dude if you make it down there I'll be sure to get Trip, Drewpy, Rae, and anyone else in the area down...
I found some VERY promising area's in Northern AR too... I'll be hitting them up in a little over a week

Indeed, Northern Arkansas is suhweet. Annually I try to ride the Ozarks. Started when I would call on Wal*Mart in Bentonville in the 90's and once a year would fly to Dallas, rent a bike, ride up to AR, make the visit, then RIDE. On occasion would continue on to TN, then MS, LA, and return to Dallas.

I'll be staying at the Iron Horse motorcycle resort for 2 nights it's just down the road from Eureka Springs... gonna try to get drewpy to come over from Nashville and Trock to come down from Springfield...
marking a couple points on my GPS as I type... any good area's that you remember?
sfarson
08-23-2008, 10:18 AM
Yes, familiar with the Iron Horse. Great choice.
As you look at this map of the area...
http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=eureka+springs,+ar&ie=UTF8&ll=36.333934,-93.554764&spn=0.403796,0.556183&z=11
seriously, you could go any direction and enjoy fine roads. I would point your wheels south, maybe slightly to the east however at least one, if not both days. These are empty, twisty roads. By heading west towards Rogers, Springdale, etc. you'll run into traffic. Same for heading north and east towards Missouri, and Table Rock Lake/Branson. Nice roads but you will be sharing it more often.

99% of the people that see it will think it's a POS from that dry clutch and that it doesn't sound like an Inline 4.
Very nice. Want to see some action vids though.

First you call me gay, then you want me to ride to arkansas with you? I can't deal with these mixed signals much longer. What days are you doing to be down in Eureka Springs? If its the weekend, I should be able to come down. I'll talk to guys on the local forum and see what would be the most fun way for you to get there.
Here was a route suggested by one of the older members on the forum. I think it would take an extra 20 minutes or so, but looks pretty good. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&saddr=S+Jefferson+Ave+%4037.201500,+-93.289990&daddr=MO-M%2FS+Nicholas+Rd+%4036.974850,+-93.351800+to:MO-AA+%4036.858921,+-93.454793+to:MO-265%2FMO-413+%4036.849219,+-93.538385+to:36.601748,-93.765564+to:AR-23+%4036.399114,+-93.741014&hl=en&geocode=15664473659474744389,37.201500,-93.289990%3B12656690463423190637,36.974850,-93.351800%3B10902579116295881317,36.858921,-93.454793%3B4493156155227376342,36.849219,-93.538385%3B11676855551573102596,36.399114,-93.741014&mra=dpe&mrcr=0&mrsp=4&sz=11&via=1,2,3,4&sll=36.605606,-93.752518&sspn=0.192372,0.288391&ie=UTF8&ll=36.829073,-93.537598&spn=0.767242,1.153564&z=9
