Typical cunt hiding behind a badge.

Apparently, he's not aware that "following to closely" is also against the law!

The good news is this cop was spoken to and understands his conduct wasn't appropriate after a paid 3 day suspension. He learned his lesson.

I do believe I detect a note of sarcasm. Especially after the word "paid".

Wish I could be a dick, sent home, and be paid.

Cop does something wrong, threatens the person affected by it, then cop acts like they are doing the person a favor by not citing/arresting them. Maybe it is typical, maybe it isn't, but it seems to happen enough that my reaction is "typical". I'd feel bad about the supposed 90% of the cops who are good being pained with the same brush as the bad 10%, except nothing seems to be done about the bad ones. Instead they seem to be protected.

Only takes a micro bit of power to corrupt.

Yeah, pretty sure I would have gotten badge number etc, just in case there were damages etc. For sure would have gotten off and looked over the bike, and would NOT have been that calm with the cop.

Yeah, looks like someone wanted to be a victim and went out of his way to make it happen.
Cop was still a douche, but so was the rider (in his actions riding the bike, at least). In the end, one big NO CARE for the whole situation.

Except if a cop rolled up on that same accident caused by a civilian there is a pretty good chance the cop would be delivering a lecture about how someone could have been killed and the dangers of following too close along with a citation. I don't have a problem with the accident itself, shit happens. I take issue with the cop bullying and threatening to avoid his culpability, holding himself to a different standard than anyone else who screws up, and that nobody cares that this seems to be SOP for cops.

Ha. Watched the news on a dude getting hit by a car and while the investigation was going on, a drunk dumbass runs into a park patrol car. LOL. Stupid tattooes on his face.

Exactly why I said the cop was a douche.

What an odd compilation of half thoughts. I especially liked the smooth segue to the part about somebody's tattoo. Masterful communication.
Was that news local, Ed?

Brake checking someone is also generally illegal. Just sayin'.
What the cop did looked like a preemptive use of authoritative bluster, to cut a report off at the pass. He was obviously in the wrong and knew it, and so wanted to try and pass guilt on the 'victim.'
There's a reason why I run both front AND rear cameras.

Brake check, or sudden "critter" in the road? You can't prove it, since you were following too close.
