thanks everyone. i will pass your kind words along to my husband.
so far all we know is that someone pulled out in front of him from a side road and he was thrown from the bike. he had a faint heartbeat when EMS arrived, but was DOA at the hospital. he was 1.75 miles from home. classic, isn't it? stupid cagers!
oh yeah, he was not wearing a helmet (don't know if it woulda mattered though).

God rest his soul and comfort his family!
This sorta thing is so sobering as I commute on my bike almost everyday through city traffic. I take it for granted alot that I always make it to and from work without incident.

Your family has my condolences, I am sorry for your loss. The local news here in NH is noting that we have lost another rider in Hennicker NH in a collision witha car and that the driver of the car has fled the scene.

I'm sorry to hear this.
I always feel that your time chooses you, not you choose your time. That said I wouldnt want to go any other way than on my bike. Just not at the hand of some fucking stupid driver! Because of my own stupid choices, not theres.
Its a real shame. I wish him well on his Journey...
