AND they just said SWAT was searching for other "devices". If that's not a bomb, then I don't know what it would be. :idk:

I read unexploded "secondary" devices were found, so it's pretty safe to assume bomb versus accidental explosion.

*edit* Fox just changed back to 2 dead.

Intelligence officials told The Associated Press two unexploded devices were being dismantled, and reports of a third "controlled" explosion near the JFK Library in the Columbia Point section of Dorchester, may have been an intentional detonation supervised by authorities.

Not good...

During the press conference they referenced a third 'incident' at the library, which would tend to indicate that it wasn't a controlled explosion.

At the time I saw this, the only information was there were two explosions which could have been anything including a gas leak. If there was a video where other information was stated, I couldn't see it due to work filters. There was nothing in the text saying "bombs". Obviously, now we know what it was and it's a terrible thing to happen. I don't know what's happened to our world.

The library incident was just a fire, unrelated.

Watch for politicians to use it as an excuse to call for a gunpowder ban.

gov't is dammed if they do something dammed if they don't.

from my cousin who lives in Boston

"For those of you not familiar with marathons or Boston, it is as iconic to us as the World Trade Center. I think we celebrate Patriots Day just to have the day off for the race. This week, the public schools have off and many surrounding towns have festivals. I think most of these festivities ride the coat tails of the Marathon. "

Last information I saw, 130 injured (including several amputation injuries), 3 fatalaties (including one 8 year old who was spectating).

Fucking heartbreaking, and I wish I could have been there to help. Kudos to the first responders and the Guardsmen who were on hand to help save lives in the aftermath.

An eyewitness to the two explosions at the Boston Marathon today said that a “drill” was repeatedly announced before the bombs exploded and that he “thought it was odd” bomb sniffing dogs were in place before the blast.

University of Mobile’s Cross Country Coach Ali Stevenson told Local 15 News, “They kept making announcements on the loud speaker that it was just a drill and there was nothing to worry about. “It seemed like there was some sort of threat, but they kept telling us it was just a drill.”

The news station also reports that Stevenson “thought it was odd there were bomb sniffing dogs at the start and finish lines.” Stevenson then describes hearing the explosions as he ran away from the scene, having just completed the marathon.
If this report is accurate, it clearly suggests there could have been some degree of prior knowledge of the bombing, which killed two people and injured at least 23. The fact that the explosions were preceded and overlapped by a”drill” of an almost identical nature mirrors other major terror attacks, such as the 7/7 bombings in London.
It is important to emphasize that the New York Times recently reported that most of the recent domestic terror plots in the United States “were facilitated by the F.B.I.,” suggesting that today’s incident in Boston may have been part of such an operation.
It remains to be seen how the media and the Obama administration will exploit this incident depending who gets the blame, but Rahm Emanuel’s “never let a serious crisis go to waste” advisory is sure to be in play.

Keeps climbing. 176 injured.

New reports say that there was not a third bomb found. The first two bombs were pressure cookers filled with nails, metal, and ball bearings. No wonder there were so many amputations. Bombs were contained in duffle bags.

Breaks my heart to see those that rush in immediately in the face of uncertain danger to yank away those fences and tend to the injured, whether it be police, national guard, or regular civilians. I know sometimes the police take a lot of shit (and sometimes for good reason) but these guys didn't even blink. But I understand that feeling of helplessness. I would hope that I would be one of those people rushing in, and not running the other direction.

Source? Seems like a very poor one. Bomb-sniffing dogs at a major event like this are nothing special.

And since when would the New York Times suggest that the FBI was behind a terror attack?

More stupid, than interesting.

No, they're interesting. The fact that these events happen to coincide with drills of the exact same nature... interesting.

THIS is stupid:

Here are the facts so far:
4/15 is the DATE. 4 + 15 = 19.
13 is the YEAR, and is also a significant number to the Illuminati.
19 + 13 = 32.
32 and the 2 bombs gives us 322.
A VERY significant number.
Finish line was at 666 Boylston St.
Pyramid symbolism prevalent at event.
“Finish” line under world’s flags symbolic of the end of the “old world” and beginning of New World Order.
Tax Day in Boston: Demonizes anti-tax folks, Libertarians, Tea Party, etc.
Patriot Day in Boston: Demonizes patriots, militias, right-wing, veterans, Constitutionalists, etc.
Typical predictive television programming. (Family Guy)
Storyline / MSM reports change rapidly.
A “drill” of the exact scenario being conducted at the same time.
Official rollout of new responder tech on same day at exact event.
Convenient perfect distraction from pending anti-gun legislation.
High level of police / DHS security but their failure shows need for MORE security everywhere, (Soft martial law), already being rolled out across the country.
MSM broadcasting narratives suggesting “too much information on the Internet” and need for government control.
Fulfills numerous agendas, the hallmark of a false flag.
Based on this information so far, it was very obviously an Illuminati ritual-based false flag operation fulfilling MANY agendas. People can wallow in denial if they choose, and label ALL OF THIS as mere coincidences and conspiracy theory (as usual), but those of us that are fully awake and eyes wide open know the score.
This was a direct NWO attack…. on us.

The elder Tsarnaev insisted that his sons were innocent, but said he would appeal to his son to "surrender peacefully."

"Give up. Give up. You have a bright future ahead of you. Come home to Russia," the dad said.

The father warned, however, "If they killed him, then all hell would break loose."

"If they kill my second child, I will know that it is an inside job, a hit job. The police are to blame," the father told ABC News. "Someone, some organization is out to get them."

Would of been a bad idea to engage while the police are engaged, good way to take fire from the police as well as the brothers. They wouldn't have any idea you are just an someone trying to help them out and not additional suspects. All they would see/hear is shots fired at unknown target since you don't have a police radio and recognized as backup.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Yep.

Of the exceptions, the only one that comes reasonably close to making a home search justifiable is this one:

Exigent circumstances - This means that if the officer believes there is immediate danger to his life or others, or to someone's private property, and he believes there is some emergency where there is no intent to arrest or seize evidence, the warrant requirement is waived. An example would be that he believes a suspect is hiding a gun under the couch on which he is sitting and believes he might try to use it. In this case, the officer could search for and seize the gun without a warrant.

That would [maybe] make it OK to search ONE home, not multiple.

shmike
04-24-2013, 11:04 AM
And don't give me any "they consented" bullshit:

The consent must be given voluntarily, which means the giver must give it unequivocally, specifically, and intelligently. Consent must not have resulted from coercion or duress.

The way I read that......you have a killer on the loose....he may harm you or that officer. He may be in MULTIPLE houses. So the warrant would be waved for all houses the officer questioned his presence in, since he has no intent on using anything he finds in the house against the homeowner. Regardless if he busts into a meth lab or not, The only thing he's taking is the suspect.

I can understand that argument. I can see it being valid if someone calls into 911 saying the killer is in their home or their neighbors home.

I can't see it holding up for police going door to door because the killer is in town.

In the south? Umm no. First off 90% of the homes are well armed (statistic pulled straight outta my ass) and we'd have that fucker dangling in on the back porch draining his blood for future taxidermy reasoning should he have chosen one of OUR homes to duck and hide in.....and second...(I don't say this as some internet tough-guy. I personally know several tin foil hat wearin' anti gub's that would die in a hail of gunfire if they came knocking or breaking down doors here looking in houses) most southerners aren't fond of authority figures anyway...so we're not as likely to sheeple to random "inspections".

I'm still seeing this shit all over facebook. Not one person has gone back to say "Oops, this guy was full of fail, I shouldn't have posted this."

People's reactions (that I've seen) have been more of the "he was sooo right!" variety.

The art of trolling shall not be infringed upon by mere facts and other relevant items after the fact.

facts dont matter to trolls, or the FB nuts who want to use these things to push the agendas they back.

I've been known to share things I know to be false, just to unearth some of those people from my friend's list...

So now they're saying he was unarmed in the boat and never fired on the police; that he and his brother had one gun and it was recovered at the scene of the original shoot out.

It looks like most of the initial reporting on this was wrong.
