He can park there Because he's a fucking cop.

Do cops who drive cop cars have the right to park in a no parking zone? Make illegal left/u turns use there lights to run a red light then shut them off when there through....speed when not responding to a call.

I can keep going.

12 YO is a douche and I'll bet his parents are douchebags as well. Anyone ever think that parking on hot asphalt with a MC might be a bad idea ?

Really?

The kid asked the cop for a reason for parking there and the cop got an attitude. If hot asphalt was his reason, this video would have never gone viral.

In addition, Metro told FOX5 it did not know the circumstances or reason for the officer's parking on the sidewalk, and the department said they follow the same rules as regular citizens.

Exactly. Totally legitimate question and some bullshit authoritarian response. Kudos to this kid for being polite and standing up to say something...

This wasn't thought of because the kid caught the cop off guard.

So do you normally talk politely when someone shoves a camera in your face ? "Hi I see you are scratching your balls in public. Do you know that is against the law ?"

I'm normally not that threatened by a 12 year old kid.

I don't think you'll find too many adults who will show respect to a 12 yo criticizing them, even if they're correct. Unless there are other people standing around to witness, of course.

Funny; I have this feeling that the kid's parents were just off camera, egging him on.

Reminds me of something i saw on TV, I think it was an episode of COPS, in which a County cop chased down a city cop, who was doing something like 90 in a 55, while driving to his after hours second job. The County Mountie said that they chased him multiple times, but that was the first time they had actually caught him. IIRC is was also in Florida.
