I was gonna suggest the blocking of certain ppl to make it easier to.

I get not wanting the drama...For sure though.

I never quite understood the whole "I'm quitting FB because there's too much drama!" concept. FB only has the drama you allow. It's like a friend of mine having troubles with his ex. "Man, she's always calling me and bitchin' at me!"
Uh....don't answer!?
"Yeah, but then she just keeps calling back."
Turn your ringer off or have her number blocked.
These things aren't complicated.
I've had a total of ONE thread on FB that went South. I deleted it. Had the parties involved attempted to continue the situation, they would have been removed. End of story. My ex-wife sent me a friend request. I didn't accept it. (I'm not sure the majority of people on FB realize you can do that!)

Its not the picture that pushed me over the edge, And I'm not done forever with it, I use it to promote my bar shifts and stay in touch with people. Anything I post some how starts a fight. Which is impressive because we have both blocked each other.

Here you have a two sentence Master Class in the internet.

As a moderator, on a couple of local forums, I've had mysterious people try to friend me on Facebook immediately after I've banned someone. Should I authorize them? Do I want to have someone bitching at me, on my own page? One 'friend' started doing just that, after another mod banned him, and it was less than 2 minutes after that, that his post was deleted and his ass was shit-canned off my list.

Don't want drama? Don't allow it.

It's because your friends are feeding her information.

Just post non personal stuff. Or, delete it. No one cares.

Actually, this is my favorite. And, for the love of God stop answering any texts it calls from her. All calls. Or, answer but just put the phone next to the radio don't say anything. They DO go away....

Not me, I think it is a pig of an investment. The ads have become more intrusive as they try to show continued revenue growth. That will reach a limit or members will start to leave, either way the stock will crater.

Try being Facebook friends with people who work at Facebook. Its an endless stream of "We get free food for working here!" and "Look at pictures of this family of foxes who were born on our campus! Nature! Awesome!". They have their own Facebook page, FB Fox. Fan-fucking-tastic.

If I didn't require some annoyance with my enjoyment I'd have deleted my account a while back.

Not me, I think it is a pig of an investment. T

My cousin invested thousands when the stock first went up for sale. He lost a ton when it started to tank, but he said its gonna come back and the long range trend is moving upwards. He keeps investing in it thinking it will one day explode.

Personally I think he will make his money back one day, but in the mean time that money that he has wrapped and keeps throwing at facebook isn't being as profitable for him as it could be.

Yup! :rockwoot: I've been that way for 7 years now....well...until 3 weeks ago, when my ex started her traditional rants and psychobabble on my 16 yr old son, and drove him to my house on HER week. She got all bent outta shape saying that I was allowing him to run from responsibility and punishment

:skep: I let him come home to me because she went on a multi-hour rant because he wasn't hungry and didn't eat a whole plate-full of the dinner she "slaved over the stove" for after "slaving all day at work for their ungrateful asses"

Turns out...her husband was on a 3 week business trip and she was falling apart. She called to lecture me about me sheltering him from punishment. I listened....then she started in on the well I must be a terrible mother and they just hate me any time I ask them to do anything

For the first time since the separation I threw my normally restrained tongue out the window and said Die for your cause Martyr and she responded with FUCK YOU to which I giggled and said NO thankyou! and hung up the phone.
Since then, we've only had contact THRU her husband....whom I adore! and it's been the best 3 weeks in YEARS!!!

Yes...it was childish on my part....but she'd gotten SO comfortible with txting me and calling me, that she would send 10-20 txt a day...with calls almost every other day. All about the kids mind you, but micromanaging every aspect of every event to the second. It was driving my wife crazy. But I was use to it. This was just the excuse we needed to sever communications with her crazy ass!

See SOMETIMES......the whole "friendly divorce because kids are involved" can come full circle and bite you in the ass! I thought we would be different...and we were..for 7 years. But in the end.........ex's be crazy N' shit.

Don't sync your contacts... that simple.

But I see that the "not using facebook" didn't last.

You're problem on FB is that 90% of everything you post is drama filled jazz. You're a huge user of the "oh shit..." or "this sucks" stupid fuckin bullshit status updates. You're fishing, your feeding drama, and you are your own worst enemy.

Real talk!

I will only respond to my ex if he sends me an email. I won't talk on the phone and I won't text. That doesn't mean he won't continue to send texts, most of them are amazingly awesome angry tirades. I assume they are actually from his new wife.

My eldest is out of the house about to turn 19. My youngest is 15. Read=old enough to figure out her schedule.

He can yell all he wants. I have chosen to not engage.
