Saw the title for this story earlier and I was like dumb parents, then I read it and was like WTF. Sad for the parents in this one. That was one big ass snake.

I saw something about this where the snake was actualy kept in the apartment and not in the pet store. Seems odd that it strangled both at the same time as well but afroks are prety nasty snakes.

What I read said that it was kept in a large containment in the pet store, but that it had previously escaped several times before this.

Seems like there were a few different spins on this, a couple i heard was the snake lived IN the appt. Also saw something that thie kids may have handled the snakes food also, so that will def trigger a feeding response. Makes sense too, afroks are very agressive snakes, but it wont attack a sleeping child as a threat but as a meal.

Seems there are pictures of the kids cleaning the enclosure.

Why would the snake kill both ? Methinks a snake would kill ONE and be in the process of eating it. Why would a snake kills 2 kids. Snakes don't kill for pleasure.

Seems that the older one was quite protective of the younger. Tried to help him and was also killed for his trouble?

I saw that one too.

I think it was just a feeding response since I doubt that the snake could have actualy eaten either of the kids. If they were smaller or the snake was a few feet bigger, maybe.
